Halo won't return to its glorious days. (Halo 6)

Okay, I want to clarify that I am not a fanboy of Bungie or of any other company in general. Destiny was a failure by multiple reasons like the separation of the Bungie’s team, the creative regime of Activision and the bad marketing decisions etc.
I think that Halo Combat Evolved had the best campaign in the sense of level design and plot, it was very open world-ish and it had a great ending in my opinion. Halo 2 had a legendary and unforgettable multiplayer with an amazing campaign too. Halo 3 had the best multiplayer leveling system I have ever seen, with a very satisfactory conclusion to the franchise. (Halo 3 ODST as one of my favorite spin offs ever.)
What happened? I will talk how everything changed, from the music to the aspects of gameplay.
Halo 4 had a decent, fun multiplayer and a mediocre campaign with its ups and downs, but it didn’t feel the same. Number of mistakes:

  • I know about the lore of Halo and what they did with the “forerunners” is a -Yoink-. The Prometheans. What the hell were they thinking? why give the motto of “the return of the ancient enemies” when the only forerunners who return is the Didact and the Librarian? The Prometheans are not forerunners and have nothing unique.
  • THE ART STYLE, why does Halo 4 look like a spin off of the Power Rangers? The plastic armors look stupid and clunky in comparison with the gritty, grim and deteriorated armors of Halo: Reach. THIS IS THE REASON WHY HALO 6 will fail. The art style, the animations. Compare the way Halo Reach spartans run, crouch and jump with the IV’s in Halo 4. The Power Rangers looks absolutely retarded.
  • Flying vehicles of the UNSC. Its been NINE YEARS AFTER THE ONE OF THE MAIN ENTRIES (HALO 3) since we had a flying vehicle of the UNSC, why?! Btw 6 years after Halo Reach, that reflects the failure of 343 to bring a vehicle to their fanbase that has asked for it before Halo 4 was even released.
  • The music in Halo 4, don’t get me wrong, Neil Davidge did a great job! but it didn’t sound like Halo at all and the music was misused a lot! Halo 5’s music was a bit more Halo-esque but nothing in comparison with Marty O Donnel’s tracks.
    -The gameplay, Halo Reach had more players than Halo 3, Halo 4 and the Halo Master Chief collection at some point, jesus, it had more players than HALO 5! at some point.
    Why? 343 if you’re reading this the answer is very simple, we didn’t ask for a Titanfall spin-off with power rangers and drop offs with micro-transactions and an art style that encompasses a sci fi cartoon.
    -Halo 5’s writer needs to get fired. No need for any explanation here, right guys?
    -Halo 6 will be released to PC.
    Ugh, writing a conclusion is useless at this point, I’m done with this franchise unless they bring back a good leveling system, a good campaign, a good multiplayer and a good art style! In other words, I will return to Halo when Halo itself returns to its roots and resurrects from the -Yoink- 343 took.

I agree with a lot of your points. Although I love Halo 5 and its multiplayer is extremely well-balanced and almost issue-free, it just doesn’t feel like a real Halo game.
I think it is because of the music - doesn’t give that same chilling feel as it used to in all the past Halo games. It doesn’t fit, I guess you could say. Also, the art style plays a huge role in nostalgia I believe. While Halo 2A looked extremely nice, it also didn’t have that plastic look you described. I feel like the Halo 5 beta had a lot better art style than what we have today.

Maybe not Brian Reed due to all of the speculation of the production mishaps, but somebody needs to answer for the emotionally unmoving campaign we’ve been given. The Hunt the Truth campaign is the biggest overhype of a story that I’ve ever seen.

What I got from the OP was that Halo 6 will fail because the art direction in Halo 4 was “absolutely retarded”.
Two questions: is OP a lawyer and can I keep him on retainer?

Halo1 remains the best Halo regards to how fun the actual combat is in campaign. I like the sequels but the change to formula of whatever it is they did just isn’t the same. One thing of note about Halo1 is that it didn’t have any sniper enemy. It was closer combat. And the whole argument that levels were repetitive doesn’t mention that the encounters within these same spaces is different anyway so it’s clearly not the same. Two betrayals doesn’t feel at all like the same level because the geometry is mirrored, encounters are entirely different with 3 way, Night has a very different feel, and Banshees change things up quite a bit. Same with Library, the most unique level of all Halo1’s levels which feels like a version of Doom such is nature of the persistent rate of flood. The Maw again feels entirely different. I still play Halo1 quite a bit and just the gameplay itself is better even if you don’t like certain other aspects

I can understand all of your points but how are the spartan animations in 4 worse than Reach? Also do you dislike Halo on PC?

Avant de tous parler, avez-vous testé tous les halo pour dire toutes ces choses. Ok halo 5 est différent des autres halo mais tout simplement car ce n’est plus le même développeur, BUNGIE était clairement les meilleurs pour ce jeu. Mais 343 industries a su tout de même conserver les valeurs des halo, c’est juste qu’on évolue avec le temps
