So I was watching The Know when they stated taking about a Halo without guns. It sounded crazy at first, but then they explained. They talked about a game where you got to go down to a Halo ring, and explore, and get samples, and stuff like as a scientist. I really like this idea, and would love to play a Halo game like this. Its an interesting concept, one I think I might enjoy.
However, they would never get away with releasing it as a main title, it would have to be a side game.
A Halo without guns is like Nascar without the cars. Just a bunch of pointless running around in circles.
I like the idea of an exploration game based in the Halo universe. Hell, the universe is so vast now you could have any type of game, RPG’s, space battles (x-wing vs tie) style games. Point and click. But he idea of being lost on a HALO or other forerunner world and having to discover it’s secrets to try and escape doe sound cool. Jul M’dama’s story arc in the Kilo-5 books was something very similar.

Or a game where you are a civilian on a planet being invaded. so many possibilities, would defiantly play a Halo “with no guns”

Yes it would be nice to see a game like that, I think a halo game like (mass effect) kind of thing Rpg/fps could work really well in the Halo games. but that’s just me.
The idea sounds very interesting. An actually non-shoot-everything halo? sounds awesome.
That’d be a nice change of pace.
I’d definitely buy it! Branching out to other genre makes sense. Mass Effect/Halo would be amazing! Not everyone would follow, but it could attract new players. There is so much lore that you miss out on by just playing the FPS games. Making it a side title would be important, so as not to miss lead the people.

Halo is so much more than guns.
I was a huge fan of Mass Effect and this sounds great!

I would love to play a game like that! Maybe being a civilian, and having to survive the attack by running, and hiding, and while your doing that you would see marines, and Spartans, maybe even chief in the background or even helping you get on a pelican to escape! (Maybe Pelican can get shot down, and again you must survive!)
If this was a game I would totally buy it, and play it! What would even make it better was if there was split screen so you and a friend had to survive together or online!
