Halo without Cortana

What do you think it will be like to play a Halo game knowning that you do not have Cortana. Not like part of Halo 3 where you kinda sorta knew you would be getting her back.

It’ll be weird to not have that back seat driving women in mah head

Oh, I think they’ll bring her back. Without a doubt.

Heck, it might loosely be the whole plot of Halo 5.

See, thats what I at first figured. But it doesn’t set a good precedent for a series if they bring back a main character after they die. Look at comics. Superman, Spiderman, hell, most major comic book heros have died at some point. But they come back. Takes the…Wow factor out of it.

I will just wait for the game. I would love it if she comes back in some form. But I just don’t know.

I’ll feel okay with her gone. If Chief is trying to regain his humanity, nothing is more human than having to process grief, loss and accepting it. Halo 4 ended perfectly with Cortana’s death and everything it meant for the story, I don’t want to see that ruined with Cortana magically coming back.

I think if they do bring her back, it will be as a human. They will reverse engineer a composer and fix what the forunners could and be able to return the digitized people to physical form and somehow will apply it to cortana, which would bring the cheapness factor down to nigh, given that they will have set something up in 4 that prob won’t pay off until a couple games later. Then, bam, that’s how the take chief out of the series and are able to move on and focus on new characters. (Not that I want that, I love the chief but it seems to be the way they are going with him and I would find it quite suitable to know he spends his old age and, mentally tormented, rest of his life with her by his side.)

Needless to say, it will be difficult for Chief to bare (hehe I made a pun) with the loss of Cortana.

*Flashbacks to Halo 3s needy Cortana

No, never, again.

Or…we could have a better story than this most generic and talked about fan fic since H3.

Or…they could go with what they seem to have set up already…ya know…with reverse engineering the composer. Also, I said if they bring her back.

Problem being they never got the Composer to turn digital life into organic life. It would be a way too convenient plot device for some humans to magically know how to reverse the effects of the Composer when the entire intellectual might of the Forerunners could not. And with the Composer’s Forge seemingly destroyed…good luck finding more Composers. Besides, there is no good reason for Cortana to become human.

Didn’t the Librarian say that their attempts to restore the biological forms resulted in abominations? I wouldn’t be surprised if we see Chief at least trying though

He has nothing to turn organic even if he wanted to do anything.

She never had a form to begin with.
Yes she is formed from Halseys brain but everything else about her is unique. Plus if the Forerunners could never perfect returning a composed form to an organic body, I doubt the UNSC will be able too.

I forsee us having visions of her. But other than that…

There is still the composer the didact took from the forge and placed on the halo ring in Escalation that the monitor took for repair and they’re repaired at the ark if I’m not mistaken, so if chief is there he could possibly be looking to do just that.

But Cortana was never composed. She never had an organic form that could be composed. So the composer has not data for her.

Tell chief that warrior man xD I think he’s gonna try to do what ever he thinks is right.

Aye we know by now that Chief is willing to ignore orders. But…Do we even know that he is anywhere near the composer? And it isn’t that hard to figure out that the composer will do nothing for him.

If he’s at the ark they maybe he’s gonnna see if MB knows a way around it who know the composer is also at the ark so

Thats is why i dident give a single **** about Halo 4 ending with Cortana. Cuz i just knew she will be back anyway, kinda lame where they could make Cheif go out with a ‘‘bang’’ after hes only lost that acculy did matter to him.

What i dont get is why Cortana have feelings…she an A.I? Let alone why a Human would ffel the same for an A.I… Halo 4 the love story.

They should bring Cortana back in the form of Kalmiya. It would be like having Cortana around but a new and fresh perspective on her (personality-wise) and she wouldnt be the all knowing oracle of Master Chief. He’d have to deal more without her constant guidance
