Halo Withdrawal Syndrome

This is something that happens to me alot, and I was wondering if it happens to anyone else. You take a break from Halo to go on vacation for a while, play a new game you just got, or just thought you needed a break from xbox for a few days. And the second you start again, you are terribly bad. This happens with alot of games but I feel that Halo, especially Halo 4 is an easy game to have your skills deteriorate when not playing reguraly. Does anyone else feel my pain? Do you have any ways to overcome HWS?

If I go from one game to Halo, I often find myself using the controls from the previous game. That, and my aim is terrible.

It usually goes away after a few matches!

That’s what happened when I got:

World of Tanks (2 months HWS)
Fallout: New Vegas (6 months HWS)
Fallout 3 (3 months HWS)
StarCraft 2 (HWS in progress)

Just do a few games of Big team and it should come back to you.

I started playing Transformers:FoC for a period of time and when I got back I kept trying to reload by X and meleeing by pressing down on the RS. Took me quite a while to get back.

P.S. I know some control schemes in Halo use X to reload but I’ve been sticking with Recon from Halo 3 ODST so I reload with RB and melee with B.
