What does everyone think about the announcement of Microsoft’s partnership with Oculus Rift? Halo among other Xbox games will be able to be used with it when streamed to a Windows 10 device. I think this sounds awesome and am really excited not only to see how well it works but how cool it will be too!
Well as of right now it just puts the game onto a virtual screen. Hopefully we get some input that will allow for in game movement and looking around.

The Oculus Rift support for the Xbox One is just an extension of the ability to stream from the console to a Windows 10 PC. The game itself won’t get any VR features, you can simply view your screen in a virtual theatre, just like how it lets you watch movies in a virtual theatre.

Oculus has their own controllers, and each Oculus Rift is coming paired with an XB1 controller.

I wasn’t intending to convey that it would be anything more than for streaming your games, like I said.

I wonder if we will be able to have a wider FOV with this as well. Idk though I just watched the video of Forza on Oculus and it looked super lame, not what I expected. You’re just in a virtual living room. That’s not a good idea at all. Why would they not make it full screen? Why would you want to sit in a virtual living room with a virtual tv in front of you? It would be super low res too with the game only being displayed on such a small area of the screen.
lol the forza thing looked like the girl was gonna break her neck. If i every play halo with that thing im gonna need a neck brace
