I just played the guardian beta and it is TERRIBLE. It plays nothing like halo should. They need to take off thrusters,sprint,iron sights.343 has completely ruined what was the best game ever. If 343 really cared for the fans they would make halo play like 1,2and 3 which were the best halos. This game is garbage now and I will not be buying halo titles anymore.
Agreed, Halo 5 is probably the worst I have ever played. Just played with friends, none of us could stand playing it.
It plays just like them except more movement. I personally love it, but I respect your opinion.
They need to remove the gimmicks such as ground pound and floating aim. The callouts are meh but tolerable however i dont think anyone pays attention to them.

Having played Halo 1-3 (and importantly non-Halo games) recently it’s abundantly clear that the core of what this franchise is wasn’t being acceptably serviced by the shell of gameplay conventions that have developed around it. Sure, we want somewhat more tactical sci-fi FPS combat, but HOW that was being achieved through pacing, movement mechanics, and weapon balance was actively detracting from that ambition.
Moving away from some of those ruinous conventions (ex. semi-automatic overdominance) is the best thing 343 could possibly do. It may make Halo 5 “un-Halo” according to the most superficial interpretation of what Halo is (no sprint, no ADS, the mere negative of another franchise) but such is entirely irrelevant to making Halo 5 a better first person shooter (for “being yourself” is no substitute for competency. It may be an important character attribute to balance among the other aspects of your/a franchise’s personality but its not the all-in-all.)

I love it. I think more people are loving it than hating it. A good increase from 4’s stats.

I haven’t really played it myself but I expect to dislike it. Still downloading and still wishing they would remove sprint.

It’s not repetitive actually. halo1,2,3 were different from eachother but had the same style of gameplay and bungie built on that. Halo 5 feels like a completely new title. 343 over thought the whole game, they need to go back and build on what bungie has set for them without changing the competitive style of gameplay.
