Halo Web Series "Haven" (Fan Series)

  • UPDATE MARCH 4, 2015
Hello, and I’d like to thank everyone for helping me last night. It was a lot of fun to get back to work, but now it’s time to talk about some new involving the series. I want you guys to know that I’m still very hard at work, and need one more map to be finished up, which I may need help with. I’ve gotten most of the filming done.
I’m really excited to be doing this again, and I can’t wait to show everyone something amazing!

By the way, in the recruitment section, I’ve posted something to get some help, and I recommend checking it out if you want to help the cause.

Recruitment Post! : https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/forums/504760bd1678460abcc89e5f5e1ad7a1/topics/mcc-machinima-recruiting/3980d189-7ac3-419d-abc8-2ccf8293365b/posts

I want to than everyone for the support and the interest. Have a good day or night, whatever you like.

  • ORIGINAL POST
Hello, everyone. I’ve been a big fan of Halo, and have loved the community in how awesome and helpful they can be. I really have enjoyed my experience with most everyone I’ve come across, and have made some really good friends along the way.

You see, with these friends, our interests sprouted from gaming to machinima. I have always loved the craft. It’s easily done right, but just as easily done wrong. I understand there is a shakiness in the machinima community, and I want to help it. I want to help it grow and expand, but I need help.

I am about to be four scripts into the first, and possibly only season of a new Halo Fan Web Series set in Halo 2: Anniversary’s Multiplayer engine. Now, I want to explain why this is a good medium for Machinima. As a fan, everyone concerns themselves with very generic copies of machinima’s, sticking to similar troupes to others. Well, I’ve started looking through recent machinimas, and I do see some evolution. I see progression, and it’s inspired me. I’m pushing my boundaries. I’m actually motivated to do this again, and I’m looking for those who are too.

If want to help, I’ll let you know, I’m looking for puppeteers and voice actors. The body acting is simple. Just add me on xbox live.

GAMER TAG : L THESPIAN L (It is properly spelled l Thespian l)

The first session is Tuesday, March 3rd, at 7:00 pm EST.
Now, voice acting auditions will be posted at a later date right here, so please, keep an eye out. Thank you so much, and any help will do.

ABOUT THE SERIES

Onto the basics. Of course, without giving too much away, I can give this. The work does not follow the main Halo series, but it takes elements from it. Halo is a very open universe, and anything is open to the imagination.

The year is 2555, the the Start of the Spartan-IV Program. The Planet of Ragnir was abandoned in 2542 during covenant attacks. An operative of ONI who has hidden away on the Island of Epíneio for three years is found by two Spartans after their pelican has crashed at sea. With their communications damaged from the crash, the two Spartans have washed ashore a very dangerous Island.

Come, explore Epíneio with the three soldiers. Watch as they fight for there lives on the Port Mortus Power Station, and in it’s tropical forest.

Ha, that’s funny. No, actually. Like I said, I’m not giving much away, but hey, I like creative thinking.

I would gladly like to help but I still havn’t got an Xbox One to play the MCC… it depends when Halo 5 will be released in an Xbox One bundle…

Not saying that that’s not a good idea, but of course I don’t wish for you to be upset if you don’t like Halo 5. However, the beta was extremely fun and I can’t wait for it, but it always helps to invest in other things first. Make sure all of your affairs are in order before buying the console. As an owner of one now, I realize it was a mistake to buy so early with the problems with the IPs that have come out so far on it.

I can help body act. I’ve already friended you after seeing another post by you.

I always liked Halo since I started playing it about 14 or 13 years ago and like every Halo game
I am am going tolove Halo 5 too

Hey, dude.

You know you can count on me for this sort of thing. Body acting, voice acting, writing, recommendations for music, you name it. I’m going to be renewing my Live come the end of this week. The only thing I can think of that might be a problem is a lack of hardware. I’m still on 360, and I might need to head to Best Buy and pick up a half-decent microphone. But, other than that, I’m on-board. Any questions or concerns, contact me directly on Facebook.

Halo 5’s beta was pretty shocking. After Halo 4, I was very disappointed with what Halo Became. I sort of forgave Halo: Reach because I mostly played swat or MLG which still kinda played like classic Halo, but I need to say, Halo 5 is a step in the right direction. People keep comparing it to Call of Duty, and honestly, the only Call of Duty thing that’s really in there in the clamber and ADS (which honestly makes me feel more immersed into the game). They talked about how they were shortening the Spartan Game Start and Finish animations, but I am kinda like “Why?” That’s a pretty fun feature, seeing your Spartans, your own personal super soldier bumpin’ fists, passin’ out fives. Why do you even care about that? It’s not ruining the game play of it, and it’s giving your eyes a little treat of bromance.
