Well I’m SR 49 and by unlocking something on Waypoint I’ll level up to SR 50, from there I think specializations are unlocked.
Is it possible to pick a specialisation on the computer or do I have to do it on Xbox.

Xbox only as far as I’m aware.
All you need to do while in Halo 4 at the lobby is press
Start - Career - Specializations - Choose from list
This happens on every 10th level from 50 and you might as well pick one even if you don’t want one as you’re not forced to wear the armour and you can only progress in rank if you’ve selected one. (For the next 10 levels)
All XP will be lost if you don’t pick one as it can’t add on to anything and if you decide to pick one after a game you still won’t earn any as the XP isn’t saved until you pick one.

Also I recommend going with Pioneer if you want to level up fast as you get the Fast track mod which increases your XP gained by around 15% (Not sure on exact number)
