Am I the only one that wants Halo Waypoint to have a Mobile App? I would love to be able to browse the forums while on the road without having to use my cell’s browser. And the ability to have push notifications instead of logging in every time to check to see if someone quoted you or replied to your Forum Topic or how many likes your comment received. It would be so much easier to get notifications about certain news too. Like a notification for Canon Fodder would be nice.
What are your thoughts? I don’t know how to make an app, personally, but would 343 (or Xbox for that matter) be against a fan making one on behalf of 343?
Literally, this. Why isn’t there an app, Bungie had a bungie.net app but that turned into Destiny app and even though I came from there to here (don’t look into that), I do not have a reason to have that app anymore I’m not a fan at all of D2.
Do you know how many people that left b.net would spend more time here if it were more like b.net and the app?
I think an app would be great but I think 343 would prefer to make it on their own. Not that a fan wouldn’t do a great job, but I think 343 would opt for the make option vs. the buy option.

If I knew how to make apps, I’d do it for free!
But I do agree. I doubt 343 would want a fan to make one. They will most likely make one themselves.

You mean like Bungie’s Destiny 2 Companion App? That would be cool. I would love that. And maybe be able to change our Multiplayer Spartan’s appearance as well in-app?

Halo waypoint KINDA has an app i mean theres the Halo Channel app for iOS but its really outdated and needs a revamp or i hope so when Infinite releases. the app works great and all but it just has old stuff on it and thats the reason why i deleted it, same thing happens with the xbox version of the app it has old stuff, bit if somehow they manage to merge both things together as an app it would be great.
Found something new. It appears There is a Halo app on the Windows Store. In fact, there are two. The Halo Channel. And an app simply titled “Halo.” The Halo Channel is called “A Halo 5: Guardians Companion App” via the description. The Halo App is Halo Waypoint’s Companion App (sort of.) The Halo Channel launched alongside Halo 5: Guardians. The Halo App launched in 2016. Although, both seem to have been neglected as of late. Most reviews in 2020 have been negative due to several reasons. I don’t really know if this will be updated soon. But it appears there is a PC app. Now we need an Android/iOS app.
I don’t believe that it’s necessary with an official app when the website Halo Waypoint works pretty well with a mobile. However, I could just be living in a cave unaware of the benefits with using apps.

Opening a browser and going to a website is annoying compared to simply opening an app. Plus an app can have more options for a tailored experience than a website can. It also can give more options in terms of what can be done. An app can link to your profile and you can view stats easier. A great example is Bungie’s Destiny 2 Companion App.
There is a backdoor method on Androids. Some websites can be made into a web app. Basically it is the website but in a seperate entity from your browser. But nothing else changes. It acts more like a shortcut on Windows than an actual app.
