Halo Waypoint: Incredibly slow/Nonfunctional

Hey everybody, first post here.

I am just going to be blunt about this…

Why is Halo Waypoint SO SLOW? Why does it not work more than HALF the time?

Do I have bad luck or something? I have tried to access it on several different computers, including computers at my university.

Just a few minutes ago (on a university computer) I tried to view my Halo 4 stats and it was telling me that my browser was not supported… That was new, before it would give me some error code.

Note, I was using Firefox. It was the newest version as well.

So, I started up Internet Explorer, SAME THING.

I suspect Halo Waypoint is just so screwed up that it doesn’t know what to tell the user half the time when there is an error… Can anyone convince me otherwise? I would like an explanation in the complete Lack of Quality I have been experiencing.

I realize there are some of you who don’t have any problems, but what are the chances of one site not working at several different locations on different web browsers?

My question is this:

Why is this happening?

Is there something wrong with the servers? I am very frustrated at the lack of quality to be honest. This should not be happening.

Yeah, just tried viewing my own stats in halo 4 via the link in my name and after a minute of loading it came to the conclusion that I had not yet played the game.

What is up with all of this nonsense!?

3 hours in to post.

Zero responses.

… Bump.

-5 hours; Zero responses

Yeah it’s dodgy.

You’d think 343 & Microsoft would make something that would crap on elite… clearly I guess they are fixing bugs?

I’ve been trying to get rid of this red character n show my spartan as my avatar and have not got a single ounce of help or anything of the sort.

This better be fixed soon -.-

This is honestly one of the worst game sites I have ever been on in terms of functionality. That is quite embarrassing considering this is the site for Halo, one of the most popular games in the gaming world.

It tells me that fire fox and IE are not supported web browsers, what a fail.

Also, The design of waypoint looks cool, but it is really funky sometimes just to navigate…

P.S., thanks for answering. I was expecting a few more responses.

Eh… Maybe I should go back to BL2.

The site usually does have some slow spells (it definitely was at the time you made this thread), but seems to be running fine now.

As a second note, please refrain from bumping threads. It is considered spam.

It’s considered spam?

What am I supposed to do? Make a clone thread? It took 5+ hours to get a response, and that is only because I bumped it from the 2/3rd page.

Not many people scroll back pages to look at old threads.

I should be able to bumb my frikken thread if it dies before it gets any replies. Especially if it is a thread asking for Help for god sakes!

I just want to know why all of my stuff that is associated with 343i is not working… at all.

P.S.

My issue is not how slow the site is, my issue is that the site is simply NOT WORKING.

Not Working Dos NOT = Slow.

I just checked and it is still saying I have not played the game yet, and it is still giving me an error code when I try to look at my H4 stats.

Note: I am not trying to be hostile.

Yeah this site is really slow. I thought it was going to be way faster once it got an upgrade when Halo 4 released, I was wrong.

Bungie.net was way faster than this site… and still is.

It’s really due to the abusive use of Silverlight. Just like Flash, it should be used as little as possible, as it takes a lot to load it.
On top of the slowness and constant connection problems with Waypoint, I also love the fact that my progress doesn’t update properly half the time.
