Why is Halo Waypoint SO SLOW? Why does it not work more than HALF the time?
Do I have bad luck or something? I have tried to access it on several different computers, including computers at my university.
Just a few minutes ago (on a university computer) I tried to view my Halo 4 stats and it was telling me that my browser was not supported… That was new, before it would give me some error code.
Note, I was using Firefox. It was the newest version as well.
So, I started up Internet Explorer, SAME THING.
I suspect Halo Waypoint is just so screwed up that it doesn’t know what to tell the user half the time when there is an error… Can anyone convince me otherwise? I would like an explanation in the complete Lack of Quality I have been experiencing.
I realize there are some of you who don’t have any problems, but what are the chances of one site not working at several different locations on different web browsers?
My question is this:
Why is this happening?
Is there something wrong with the servers? I am very frustrated at the lack of quality to be honest. This should not be happening.
Yeah, just tried viewing my own stats in halo 4 via the link in my name and after a minute of loading it came to the conclusion that I had not yet played the game.
This is honestly one of the worst game sites I have ever been on in terms of functionality. That is quite embarrassing considering this is the site for Halo, one of the most popular games in the gaming world.
It tells me that fire fox and IE are not supported web browsers, what a fail.
Also, The design of waypoint looks cool, but it is really funky sometimes just to navigate…
P.S., thanks for answering. I was expecting a few more responses.
It’s really due to the abusive use of Silverlight. Just like Flash, it should be used as little as possible, as it takes a lot to load it.
On top of the slowness and constant connection problems with Waypoint, I also love the fact that my progress doesn’t update properly half the time.
