Welcome to the Halo Waypoint forums!
These forums have been created to give the Halo community a centralized outlet for discussing Halo-related topics. You are required to maintain appropriate forum etiquette for participation. Additionally, if the Rules & Guidelines below are not abided by, it’s important for you to know there are possible consequences: Halo Waypoint Forum Ban FAQ.
Do not attack, flame, troll, impersonate, be rude or aggressive, insult, berate any individuals, communities, companies, or organizations on this forum. Attacks against others are not allowed in the public forums or in private messages. Please be tactful and civil. - Do not post comments that are discriminatory in nature. This includes posts that incite discrimination, hate or violence towards one person or a group because of their beliefs. - Do not engage users who are trolling, and instead report it. Remember, if someone else is breaking rules, it does not permit more rule breaking. Defending yourself isn’t an excuse. - Do not use profanity or any creative form of bypassing the word filters.Be constructive
Post your comments, opinions, and ideas in a constructive and respectful way. Duplicate threads, off-topic posts, clickbait or misleading titles, memes, crude rants, low-effort complaints, and similar posts or threads are not allowed. - Do not spam. Spam includes but is not limited to commercial posts, single word responses, petitions, non-English posts, cross-posting, posts containing all-caps, necroposts and bumps (replies purposely made to move the thread to the top of the active thread list). - Do not have a large percentage of your posts that are only negative rants against anything Halo, Xbox, or the forums. This is a form of trolling and incites more flaming and abusive posts. - Comparison is the thief of joy. Do not create threads or posts that compare games, companies, communities, or players. Discussing and comparing game features is allowed. - Do not start any comparison, advertising, selling, trying to buy, trading, begging for, “sign petition” threads, or solicit information from users. Please use the boards to start conversation about ideas or thoughts on Halo. Starting a discussion is a much more meaningful way to get a response from the community.Keep it clean
You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages on the forums. You assume all responsibility from your posts, even if they are made by your little brother/sister/dog/Frankie. - Do not file false reports. Only report posts that do not abide by our guidelines. Reporting posts for any other reason will be considered an abuse of the report button. - Do not repost content a moderator has removed, repost a topic that has been locked, remove a post edited by a moderator, or post about forum moderation decisions. If you have a question or concern about a forum moderation decision, please private message the applicable moderator. - If you see any posts that do not abide by one or more of the above guidelines, please use the “Report” button to bring it to the moderators’ attention. Above all else, have fun, make friends and contribute to a great community. Please check back often as these rules will evolve to meet the needs of our constantly changing community. Thanks for stopping by and see you on the forums. - Do not create or use multiple forum accounts. Each person is allowed one account only. Alternate accounts will be permanently banned, and offending users will be subject to both temporary and permanent bans.Forum Roles
From time to time, the moderator staff may designate certain members with leadership roles. This designation does not imply that 343 Industries and/or Microsoft Game Studios endorse this person’s posts or comments. The designation only allows the community to know when a member has performed in an exemplary and commendable fashion, and may, on occasion, assist with monitoring the Forums to ensure its integrity is maintained.
