Hey, does anybody know how they are going to handle career service records once the master chief collection comes out? I thought I heard on IGN Halo they were going to reset it but I can’t think that that sounds right. It’d probably make a ton of people angry, including myself. I hope they have it so all new stats from the collection are added to the specific titles. Also, I would love for every title to get the same kind of waypoint attention that Halo 4 got. It’s just a ton of fun being able to completely check out your campaign and multiplayer stats every time you finish for the day. If you guys have any knowledge on the subject, please post something.
Your current Halo 4 for 360 stats wont reset, same goes for the other games on their respective consoles. However you will start from 0 in the MCC versions. Everyone will start at the bottom and work their way up. Any achievements that are the same in both versions will have to be unlocked again, but you will not lose the achievements from the old versions, instead you’ll double up. Campaign levels are all unlocked by default. They’re yet to delve into how armour unlocking will work but basically, anything that isn’t unlocked by default will have to be worked for, regardless of whether you unlocked them in another version of the game.
This site is getting a complete overhaul this Monday. All I can say is come back then and see what they have.
As for the 360’s Waypoint app, I think that’s staying as is and should keep tracking your Reach & Halo 4 stats, but that’s just a guess.
As for here, I think they’re moving everything, including fileshare, to HERE, so they can focus on all the details of the four games in the MCC.
Not sure of Reach’s stats and fileshare fate on this site. It may wind up like Halo 3 on the 360 without anything, or they may move it to the app as well, I don’t know.
But in the MCC, we’re all starting fresh.
