Halo Waypoint App Support FAQ

Having trouble with the Halo Waypoint app on your Windows Phone, iOS, or Android device? Here are some of the most common problems that we’ve seen reported:

1. What happened to my ATLAS purchase? It wants me to buy it again!

2. Challenges are gone in the latest app update?

3. The app is crashing when I launch it. How do I open the app?
Sometimes this can happen if something goes wrong in the update or download process. Try restarting your device. If the problem persists, try uninstalling the app and reinstalling it. If you’re still experiencing this issue, please post the relevant details in this thread. We’re more than happy to work through the issue with you.

4. Halo Waypoint is not saving my sign-in information.
This happens because of compatibility issues between the Halo Waypoint app and iOS 5.1. Try deleting the app and reinstalling it from the app store.

5. I am experiencing some other kind of issue.
Please post details about your issue in this thread. Include your device name, operating system version, and whether you are running the latest version of Halo Waypoint.

The app will not automatically sign me in, even though the keep me logged in button is ticked when I enter my e-mail and password.

When I open up the Halo Waypoint app my service record shows up, however when I go to view my stats they never load and are N/A. It also will not update my service record unless I clear the cache in which it will show my current rank, credits, armor, ect… but still no stats. I am also having issues comparing my stats with my friends because they will not load.

Also when I do a custom challenge from my phone I complete it, turn it in, and I receive no credits. I have waited for the challenge to be expire and have written down how many credits I have before I turn in the challenge and nada. I’ve lost out on about 20k plus credits due to this.

The challenge thing isn’t real important, I mean I play Halo to have fun not to boost, just listing all issues I have had with the app for the past 3 weeks.

I have tried uninstalling the waypoint app and reinstalling. This got me to the same road block I was at before. I am currently up to date with all the updates waypoint has put out.

My phone is the Windows HTC Trophy, it has the Mango update already.

useing the halo waypoint app on my iphone can you use it to get on the halo waypoint forums cos i cant find how to get on them?.

Just updated my Waypoint App for my iPhone expecting an improvement.

INSTEAD, the “Custom Challenges” (main thing I use it for), is buried within the Service Record.

AND the Custom Challenges are broken. When you press you hardly ever get a response, I cannot scroll when “Selecting Enemy” under Campaign challenges.

Is there a way to downgrade?

It would be a lot more helpful if you posted it in the topic linked, I did and got a PM from the Waypoint Team offering support and they found out the problem.

It will get fixed a lot quicker if you put it in the topic.

Having issues with the “Custom Challenges”.

  1. “Pushing” the tabs is a bit unresponsive, and seems to only work if you press the FAR RIGHT of the tab. (Ex: Duration of Challenge tab)You basically have to press the little “>>” looking part of the text boxes to get a response.

  2. Campaign Challenge: Kills of Enemy: Enemy Type: Once you get here you can not SCROLL through the different types of Enemies to select them. It is stuck on the first “page” of them. (bottom one I can see is Engineer I believe)

Did some MM challenges that worked fine. Some other Campaign ones worked fine, however everything is a bit jerky, took longer than normal, and you find yourself pressing things several times…

Just confirmed you still cannot scroll when trying to “Select Enemy Type” after creating a Campaign Challenge.

Also, when you try to specify “Difficulty” it would not show the Easy-Legendary. Just goes to black screen. I had to select some skulls first, then go back to Difficulty for them to show up.

Also, when you “Select Skulls” it jumps to the bottom of the skulls list, does not start at the top… (Minor issue, just weird).

When you try to back out and cancel the challenge you get a “Are you sure you want to Cancel?” blue push notification 3-4 times quickly in a row… Very weird.

*Was going to test it out on iPad but am not up to par on iOS requirements for app. >_<

EDIT: Just ran into it not allowing me to “Scroll” for Campaign Challenge: Kills with Weapon. Going to have to resort to using the website challenge page for the time being.

Update:

The skulls/difficulty bugs I mentioned earlier appear to be random and are not happening everytime.

The main concern is the inability to “scroll” and select different Enemy Types/Kills with Weapon for Campaign Challenges.

I am also having a problem scrolling on the custom challenge “kills of enemy”. It also does it when trying to select skulls. I am using the iphone app with the latest update.

Since the update for the ios waypoint app, atlas hasn’t been detecting when I’m in a game. That little tab doesn’t pop up and say game in progress. If I open the app, or even specifically click on Atlas, nothing happens when I start a game. I’ve tried closing the app, killing it out of multitasking, and re-opening it during a game and still nothing. Anyone else having this problem?

I believe I read in the weekly update that they made some changes to the mobile forums. However, I can’t find the forums on the waypoint app. Are they talking about accessing the forums from a mobile browser? If not, how do I get to them from the waypoint app?

Hopefully the “scrolling” issue is a minor fix that will be out soon… =(

My app used to never save my details even after the update but then I deleted the app and redownloaded it. Since then I haven’t had this problem anymore. This may work for others having the sign in issues.

Ok I figured out if you “kill” the app, then re-open it, you can scroll on the FIRST challenge you make after re-opening the app.

To “kill” app, press “home” button twice, at the bottom all of your apps that are running will pop up. Hold finger on an app. A red line will appear, hit that to “kill” the app from running.

Now, re-open the Waypoint app. At this point ONE challenge will allow you to scroll for “Enemy Type”/“Kills of Enemy”, so create that challenge. If you need to make another one, kill app, repeat.

NOTE: If you do it this way, you will NOT be able to select Difficulty unless you put skulls on. The “Difficulty” option will show up as blank. If you select some skulls first, then go back to difficulty Easy-Leg will show up.

Tedious, but still quicker than making them on this website. And who knows how long it will be until this gets fixed… =/

Whenever I try to sign into the app it says my email or password is incorrect. I tried deleting the app and re-downloading it but continue to have the same issue. I know that my email and password are correct.

Phone: HTC Evo Shift 4G. Android: 2.3.4

I bought atlas and it’s still locked in the app , i bought it again , and it didn’t work , on my Itunes invoice there is 3 times charge for the atlas :frowning:
I reinstalled the app and atlas is still lock…
I use ios and i’m using the french store
