So I Know the halo infinite integration for the halo waypoint app isn’t out yet, but i can’t find an actual app called “halo waypoint” is it just the “halo channel” app?
The Halo Waypoint app is still in development and hasn’t been released publicly yet. My guess is its release will coincide with the website change.

Any news on the expected date for when this will happen btw? I am almost just excited for the waypoint revamp as I am for Infinite and the mystery date for both is killing me!

I haven’t heard anything either. If I were to speculate, however, I would say that both the Waypoint revamp and the release of Halo: Infinite are quite close to one another meaning that if we ever get a date of one we can determine the date of the other.
You’ll be able to test out part of the new website and app when flighting for Halo Infinite kicks off - potentially in about a week from now
