Halo Warzone Kill Farming & Stacked Teams Issue

There is a very big issue in regards to Halo 5 Warzone. The main issue of this being stacked teams. Many people (such as myself) have always came back to halo to enjoy the franchise but it always seems I am coming across low populated lobbies and against the people who are always together in teams. This has caused many frustration and made the game barely playable at times. Team farming and quick coring has made people treat a casual playlist into a serious ‘wannabe competitive’ playlist, teaming up and trying to find the best 12 squad to go against casual lobbies. This is causing a big concern, discouraging the core audience to play Halo 5.

I feel like 343 Industries need to take a look at a solution for present and future issues like this occurring in any of the Halo franchise games or low population results will continue.

Hmm people that play a team game team up in warzone. I don’t see the problem here. It’s a TEAM game after all. So why not make some friends and join a squad it makes awesome much more fun. Why solo que when you can make friends. And don’t force the friend groups to break apart that will hurt the playlist more

They already tried addressing it a long time ago by limiting party sizes, making the Warzone Warlords playlist and improving the matching system, but none of those things really worked. Those parties have such high skill levels that the game will never find an even team for them unless they match another similar party which likely won’t be very often. Only thing you can do is start remembering their emblems and then quit out of the lobby when you see them.

343 has worked on and tried various solutions to this issue over the past few years. The reality is, some of the issue stem from not how people play, but with how the mode is built. My guess is they realized that a true fix for snowballing and stacking goes beyond what they’re capable of doing without giving up developer resources for infinite. They’ve messed with scoring and fireteam size limits but nothing really solved issues completely.
Halo 5 will be turning 4 years old in October, and over those 4 years 343 made an honest attempt. But right now Halo Infinite is the biggest and most important priority (and rightfully so)

Well, because there is no way to circumvent mmr, (for now) there’s no avoiding fully stacked teams if the game thinks that you and your randos are as good as all of them. Only thing I can suggest are playing with a team, playing a smaller playlist, playing custom games, or maybe playing mcc.

I believe a solution would be a fireteam limit of 5-6 and the rest be fill ins or solo que players. IF the problem isn’t solved now, what makes you think these ‘kill farming lobbies’ would not transfer over to future Halo games?

Well this response is pretty ignorant. I play with people all the time. I am stating people are creating lobbies with high ranked and high win percentage players to go into a casual playlist teamed up. It creates an unfair advantage and would need to be patched. It isn’t going to help with the population of lobbies. I recommend trying it out for yourself, in a fireteam or by yourself.

Lol so because a player or a bunch of players are good we are not allowed to go into war zone and only play arena? I have solo quad before so many idiots. The system punishes you for being good by putting idiots on your team. Best solution don’t have enough room in lobby for idiots so they don’t break your game. Not letting the good players play together hurts the game more. How is it unfair Jaír because we have played longer. You have the exact same tools and weapons as we do. Warzone is casual. Don’t be pissed off because good players play it that is pretty dank petty.

Ummm they did that a while ago. It hemmorraged the war zone population.

Clearly i ruffled a few feathers. I will simplify it.

  1. Players with high percentage k/d & wins are in a team of 12.
  2. Searching on expanded makes you come across anyone (skill doesn’t matter). If you change the search preference the time between matches becomes a issue.
3.You then come across these stacked 12 teams with better communication and teaming up.
  3. Spawn killing happens & isn’t fun. Resulting in a bad play experiences.
  4. Bad play experience causes casual people not to play, discouraging the main audience.
  5. low population arises as an issue.

I am asking for 343 to have a strict team size to prevent these teams from killing off game population. You say same “tools” random teams have no communication and are not as thirsty as a stacked team who clearly care about their kd/win ratio, especially in casual playlists. I am not “pissed” but more frustrated with my experience and so is a lot of people i have spoke with. Being forced to stack and team up is not a solution. It would just make things worse.

If you want to try calling me out being petty, I just looked at your service record and hold barely any experience with Halo games.

  1. Nothing wrong with that
  2. Search on balanced or focused
3.it will happen deal with it denying people the ability to play the game because they are good is bad.
  3. People will spawn kill they have always farmed since the old days of h1. Back to ruining a lot of people’s game doesn’t matter when mine is more important mentality
  4. To not get farmed get a team to counter that said team or possible matches against teams.
  5. H5 is 4 years old population will die down its natural.
Bruh I’ve been playing halo since 2001 I’ve grown up with it from the beginning.

You didn’t notice it probably because there are more bad players in the lower mmr bracket than higher. Higher people leave and it’s all bads. And being forced to have bads on your team when you ran 12 man squads before made a lot of good players quit warzone. Thus higher skilled pool it’s smaller matches take longer to find and more skilled players leave. That’s what happened, you want that again?

Your service record begs to differ. Well done I have too. My favourite mission is truth and reconciliation.

I believe i just told you why i don’t search on balanced. Look above at no. 2.

You clearly have not been in a situation where skill is tested when 5 other guys are shooting you (service record has nothing to show this) Teaming up beats skill, didn’t halo lore teach you?

Getting a team to counter teams is pretty ironic. Team of 12 you say?

There is no skill pool. It is a casual playlist on expanded. Rank Arena only has a skill pool based on a rank system.

Yes there is… social uses hidden mmr it’s like ranked but you don’t see your rank… so hidden mmr= Pool of good and bad players. /mic drop
warzone is social like super fiesta

Every playlist uses MMR and team balancing for matches except for Firefight. For example, during a certain period of time when BTB was social it would only make matches if there was 60/40 odds of each team winning or losing.

Clearly It is a broke system, for halo 5 at least. A full team of high win percentage players coming across a solo queued team.
