Halo warzone FireFight difficulty

Honestly i love firefight with all my heart. But the difficulty is insane! For example on the map urban when you have to protect the forerunner core on the third mission, The enemies are spawned directly on top of the core with many of them with those heavy turrets and even later on where 3 knights were spawned in right next to the core! we did tiny amounts of damage to the knights and to make that worse an INSANE amount of soldiers were being spawned around it. and they are so powerful that it basically takes 3 shots for 1 of them to kill you. but that is multiplied by like 10 because the spawning is so unfair! when you kill two enemies more and more are spawned in with no cooldown while we have only 3 minutes to complete it and we have a 40 second respawn while enemies are being spawned AT THE CORE! the spawning of enemy types and the number of enemies being spawned in need to be toned down in my opinion. i know 8 spartans are a lot but 8 spartans aren’t all going to work together perfectly in a matchmaking game. i know i’m really complaining here but i would really like to have fun while playing a firefight match. and i honestly think it is artificial difficulty because huge waves of extremely powerful enemies are spawned in, in such big numbers while they can teleport WHEREVER and quickly kill the players!

I agree. The AI are so OP sometimes that it’s borderline impossible to win. When I spawn in Round 1 with an AR and a Magnum, I can’t be expected to kill four frickin Hunters. It’s just not a thing that can happen.

Or when 4 Warden Eternal’s spawn and they target every single teammate, how are we supposed to get any sort of tactical advantage?

remember when a pistol used to be an awesome weapon for killing hunters cuz you could run up to them, dodge their swing, and one shot them in the back for the kill?

that was so much fun. not sarcastic.

It’s sure felt easier since the update came across, but now I’m curious where my win percentages are.

Escape from ARC: 23 of 35 (66%)
March on Stormbreak: 5 of 14 (36% yikes)
Attack on Sanctum: 10 of 12 (83%)
Raid on Apez 7: 6 of 11 (55%)
Skirmish at Darkstar: 6 of 9 (67%)
Urban: 3 of 8 (38% yikes)

That’s about right, IMO. Some of the objectives are still a little skewed on difficulty (the Hunters in the bases for level 5, Urban’s defend the core round), but it’s not enough to ruin the whole mode.

Those were the days. Now it takes 15 minutes to kill a Hunter regardless of what weapons you have lol

I agree, i made a similar thread discussing the difficulty of WZFF, just to name a few, apex final wave, the one you mentioned, and a couple other waves that just spawn in too many enemies to hande

Spawn timer, location of spawns, and amount of ammo given are my biggest issues!

Crits on knights help alot. Dont miss shots. Stay behind cover. Aim for the pumpkin.

I dont have a problem with the AI. I usally top boards in WZFF. Dont use anything other then BRs, DMRs,SMGs till 6-8 reqs then bring out the toys.

Personally I feel it is the Spawn Timer and location of Spawns that makes this mode somewhat unfair. The enemies spawn right on top of everything meanwhile the Spartans generally spawn at the furthest distance away from action on the map. As a solution though I wonder if this can be fixed by having the Spartan spawn at the nearest Req terminal to the fight.

With that I really love this game mode and if it did not change then I would still be just as happy.

The only one I really struggle with, to the point where I think it’s a little much, is the fifth mission on Urban sometimes. If you get “defeat the Promethean bosses” and have to fight the soldiers on the top of the base (surrounded by Knights) then have to go through an entire wave of Knights to get to the THREE Warden Eternals, one of which is a Mythic variant, that’s a little much and overkill for most players. I’ve been on teams who have pulled it off before, but 9/10 times it’s basically a guaranteed loss. They should fix that one up, though the rest have seemed fine to me so far.

If people need help in FF im always down to play. Add me guys. I cant promise a win. But i will do my best to get one.

The Core spawn in on Urban i agree are ridiculous. Also I think the two mythic Wardens with the Tempist wraiths is just so dumb. I think I’ve pnly killed both wardens twice and it wasn’t with much time left. Even whith everyone in scorpions its just to impossible!

definitely the shoulder spots are good. i always wonder though, once the armor is off on both sides, where do i shoot? seems like i don’t get red crit marks anywhere once they’re bare.

Exactly! and especially when all his attacks are one hitters! i understand they want him to be a challenge but WOW

Thanks for all of the agreements! i was scared of being called whiney (which my post sort of is) but i’d like to have more fun with firefight. it is VERY fun but it can become disappointing when all you do is die and die and lose!

I agree. The mission I fail the most is defend The garage. First the enemies spawn directly outside the base while your busy killing enemies trying to get in the base. Therfore you’refighting on 2 fronts and with their dumb ability to teleport its impossible. That’s a level one mission also so we don’t even have brs yet. 9-10 we fail the mission

I find it really interesting that firefight has been out for a while now, and 343i has a official feedback thread for the game type. And yet, we’ve only seen a minor “hot fix”

343i fix firefight, seriously. It’s a total joke.

There so many bugs, and issues that have been in the game since launch, and 343i has yet to address them. Except for Bravo, of course. He responds to the community tells us he’ll let the guys in those certain departments know. And then after that, nothing happens.
