I know everyone here has heard about the rumors of the servers shutting down, and they weren’t shut down when they were rumored to. I haven’t been keeping up on this at all and was just wondering if the servers are safe for a while, because I am hell bent on getting all of the achievements on this game, because it’s the only Halo game I dont have every achievement on. So I would appreciate the help. I could also use some help on the Achievements so if anyones willing to help a noob out I would appreciate it.

The servers won’t close until another year or so. Don’t be surpised if they last longer than that…
There’s still a good 10,000 players playing each day, so I don’t see them shutting 'em down, yet.
Okay thanks. I was just a little worried from all of the old rumors, and I’m not that great and I want to get the General Achievement at some point.
I have no knowledge of the servers going down.
On thing that did happen was during the transition from Robot to 343 (original company to this one). 343 considered taking the stats servers offline, making it impossible for us to look up old games. That did not happen, and the servers are still up.
As far as I know, you shouldn’t have any problems you are concerned with.

Those rumors are fake. The servers are not going down and there’s really no reason for them to go down.

They’re still in a read-only state. Woo. I don’t see the servers going down anytime soon. Maybe a year or so after the new Xbox is released.
