Halo Wars:Past Battles

Past battles is not a game on its own but is a reform of halo wars. Downloading it would act like the halo reach beta where is you own halo wars you can play it.

The campaign is short and sweet
level 1-3: You play as a team of forerunners finding lost activation codes for the rings on the last day of the forerunners lives.
Forerunners play just like classic covenant from halo wars 1. They only have 2 leaders. Forerunners only have 1 man in each squad. Do not use ground vehicles.
all flying vehicles are ether scouting or support. Infantry units are slightly better then average and can be produced instantly if not for a much higher cost.

Level 4-6: You play as rebels fighting to rid unsc control over a planet.
Rebels play like classic unsc from halo wars 1.
Most units are only half as strong as their unsc counter parts but are extremely cheap and can be made all most instantly.
Rebels use snipers instead of flame throwers, Only use rusted falcons for flying, use mongoose instead of warthog, and last instead of spartans they use Dronemen (people who have taken drugs to equal the strength of a spartan) who loose health per second. they only have 2 leaders

level 7-9: You play as the covenant as the first assaults on harvest (Im mean the very beginning. When the grunt went crazy and killed someone). Covenant Use a mix of weak and strong units relieing on pure numbers to win a fight.
Leader:Prophet of truth, prophet of regret, arbitor.
PoT:Uses brutes and brute chieftans to replace elites for an unknown reason.
PoR:Uses Elie honor guards and use elite to lead most units.
(both above use the same power but with a different effect. PoR uses it to burn and turn to ash PoT uses it to freeze and silence)(The regretful fire and the silent truth)
Arbiter:Uses elite spec opps and any unit with a elite is slightly stronger.

Level 10-12:You play as the Unsc. A medium type faction that relies on a faulty blunt strength to finish the work. In the story you play 3 different battles scattered across the halo story line. One happening at the first battle of harvest trying to save civilians. The second in a large space battle consisting of several ships trying to defeat a covenant assault on a planet. Last you play a small group of Unsc marines on installation 4.
Leaders
Sgt Johnson:Uses him self as a special unit he can high jack vehicles with out the need for this power to recharge. His leader power is however a special bomb that acts like a mini nuke. Upgrading will make the blast bigger and can add a radiation effect.
Commander Reaver: In the command of a ship he can call for ODSt leaders to drop down to help the fight (They are his specil units and can join a normal odst squad to increase their health and strength.) His Leader power is a mac blast.
Jesica F. Retail: A member of the unsc that knows how to mess with peoples minds. She was their on the ring and she left a mark that wont ever be forgotten. She uses Radio soldiers as a way to set up mini towers that let you keep a eye on areas you cant normally see unless you sent a unit. She can also us a black out (leader power) To make the commander of what ever unit hit go blind (The commander can still see from their bases) making it so they cant command their troops for a set amount of time.

if you buy the code from game stop you get flood (which allows you to take over opponent units and if their bases are low on health their bases to), If you buy it from walmart you get Oni (Unsc but cheap Spartans and can make all 3 spartan types (letting you have 9 Spartans in total) Note:These would be like pre dlc’s. if you did not get a chance to preorder you could buy them later for about 400 Mp.

Game types
CTF:One random leader from both teams will have a flag. The opponent must destroy the flag holder and take it to their flag holders base.
TDM:Going from 1v1,2v2,3v3, and 4v4 you can have 2 teams duke it out for the crown.
Space battle: Each person gets a mother ship that can call in for other smaller ships to fight for it. Bases can be moved where ever you wish (maps planets or rings in this gamemode will be the background.
All out war:A all out DM where you go against the world.
MLG: In this a random ranked match will appear from the above playlist letting you show yours skills.

Im still working on it but what do you guys think so far.

but it sounds cool, being abel to control different armys within different parts of the campaign

(rebels sound interesting)
but the only problem i see there, is that a good story won’t come out of just 3-4 levels, there needs to be more than that

multiplayer

the flood thing is cool, but it shouldn’t be a bonus, it should be in-game

Oni…

Spartan 1- agmentated marines… kinda boring
Spartan 2- baddass
Spartan 3- the way Reach pictured them, TERRIBLE

game types:

CTF: interesting, but i feel like it will be home to rushers
TDM: standard Halo Wars FTW
Space: interesting idea… having long/short swords and Saberes VS saraphs and stuff with frigates with MAC’s and Cruisers with Glassing beams
DM: i feel like the turrets need to be better in a gametype like this

Levels
well they could act a lot like acts.
You know one act may have 3 chapters so in one level you would get like 9 chapters
That way storys told and you get a long campaign.

and Id rather have a entire army then that stupid flame warthog every one over prised on ebay. I mean it doesn’t help in the slightest. But a army could.

CTF:Sorta what I was hoping. I mean every game has some home to them. might as well add this :stuck_out_tongue:

DM:Just imagine 8 army’s just colliding into each other in a epic battle.

if it was something like a new army, it would be unfair to people that DIDn’t preorder it
