Anything about Halo Wars Two?
Discuss it here!
We’ve got so many Halo Wars 2 threads for ideas/speculation/news that they cannot all stay active.
Please think before posting, and mind the rules. Try not to be too negative, as extreme opinions make for extreme arguments.
Also, please define the topic of your post (i.e. NEWS, Speculation, Ideas, and Storyline/Plot) for organizational purposes and ease-of-use.
There’s much to discuss, so hop on in!
I’ll kick things off:
Ideas
I would absolutely love a destructible and dynamic battlefield. If dynamic play is implemented properly, it is incredibly fun and never gets old.
I’d also like to see something like what TC Endwar had in the customization department. Being able to give individual units upgrades adds a whole new depth to the game. For those who haven’t played Endwar, it goes a little like this: I deploy unit out of my base. If the unit is completely wiped out, I lose it. However, if the unit survives the battle, it gets promoted and I can upgrade it. Endwar gave you credit based on how well you did in-game, and the credits could be spent on your units. Example: My tanks rank up so I buy them better armor.
Idea
So, I was thinking: It would be pretty awesome if commanders in halo wars 2 could deploy a unit (example; Marines, warthog, etc.)and be able, with a touch of a button, to have a first person perspective of what their units are seeing on the battlefield. After all most units in the halo games were equipped with cam recorders on their helmets and vehicles. I believe it could be possible considering the power of the next gen consoles and it will bring a new “perspective” to the game.
Any thoughts?

I’ve heard the whole FPS + HW2 = Awesome thing before, but make sure it’s only an FPS perspective without the combat abilities. An example of this difference is the ability to look through your Spartan’s helmet and controlling said Spartan’s movements and actions.
FPS and RTS simply can’t mix.
I couldn’t agree more. It would only be a perspective to add a different feel to the game and you’d only be able execute orders “such as attack here!” “go there!” “retreat!” in that perspective however, you would’t be able to physically control the unit like an FPS.
I love the idea of destructible buildings like in battle field! That would make the game a lot more action packed.

Yeah, it would be awesome to see a dynamic environment. It would add a whole new level of play.
