I’ve been experiencing an issue in Halo Wars: Definitive Edition where upon launching the game on PC after playing it on Xbox One, it syncs my profile data as it normally would, however when it syncs the data over from the changes on the Xbox version it resets all of my key-binds on the Windows 10 version.
This is an issue I’ve been able to reproduce several times without fail. I tried reinstalling and even resetting the application data in Windows’ settings to no avail.
Steps for Reproduction:
- Open Halo Wars: Definitive Edition on PC and change key-bindings to any choice. - Play a short Skirmish or Campaign session. - Save and quit - or Win or lose if Skirmish - then close the game upon completion. - Open Halo Wars: Definitive Edition on Xbox One and allow the profile data to sync to the Xbox One. - Repeat steps ‘1’ and ‘2’. - Proceed to reopen Halo Wars: Definitive Edition on Windows 10 and allow the profile data to sync to Windows. - Upon completion of data sync, and entering the game menus, proceed to the ‘Options’ menu and check the previously changed key-bindings to see if they were reverted to default. This has been the case for me since I began playing the game on Xbox and PC interchangeably.
I do hope this can be addressed and patched at some point though.
