It’s already 20 December for me and I’m very impatient to play definitive edition. Do you know the exact time and date when HW DE releases?
When did you pre-order? You need to keep in mind that the code won’t come to you until 7-10 days after you have pre-ordered.

I pre-ordered December 7th, so I think anyone who pre-ordered before the 10th will get codes after midnight?
That is what I hope, it says I own the product when I view in store this code thing seems silly to me we should get access, either way very excited.

I would like to hear the reason for why it has to take 7-10 days to receive the code. Not being angry mob here, I am just curious because it does seem like a pretty odd/bad system. I pre-ordered it today and then read the FAQ after so I guess I won’t get it this year. Depending on the time it takes I might just cancel the pre-order and watch some playthrough’s of the campaign instead and then pre-order the game again closer to Halo Wars 2 release.
Well games usually are released worldwide at midnight eastern time in the US. If they are using this approach (and I get the code in time) I could be playing the HW:DE at 9:00 Pacific standard time in the US on the 19th.

I have been charged already. In fact HW2 is sitting on my xbox waiting till the 17th of February to become available.

When did you get charged for it? I pre-ordered it on the 7th and it’s not charged yet on my account, my xbox store says I own it

The Halo Wars: DE that appears on your Xbox isn’t a playable version. The Xbox marketplace views it as a DLC item for Halo Wars 2 as of now. That is probably why tokens are required, as the tokens give you access to a different Halo Wars: DE, a playable one.
we can put a man on the moon but 47 years later struggle to distribute a game on time. It’s a shame I pay my hard earned money for such a poor service, especially to a more than 10 year loyal xbox customer.
