Halo Wars Continuity Issues . . .

There’s only 2 things that have been bugging me to death after finishing HW many times . . .

  1. If the Covenant needs Anders to just activate the Forerunner Warships, then how in the world are they supposed to actually make something from them? Wouldn’t the Humans have a better chance at that?

  2. After Forge kills the Arbiter, one of the SPARTANS - I think Alice? - rolls his body over the ledge . . . How did the Covenant get the armor back for the new Arbiter to use in Halo 2?

If anyone knows the answers or has thoughts and theories about this, please comment! I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s noticed this!

There have been many Arbiters, there armor is all the same, they just build a new set, and once a human has activated a Foreruner item anyone can use it unless there part of the Array

I wondered the same thing about the armour… Maybe when the star went off it was thrown out and was found later? Not too likely though.

Seeing as there’s a whole mausoleum there would probably be one set for each Arbiter and they keep that in their tomb or something.

As for the ships maybe using Anders tricked whatever controls the ships into some kind of repair sequence that exposed whatever’s inside them. Most Forerunner stuff just needs one touch and it’s anybodys really.

So . . . each Arbiter has their own set of armor? Because it sure looked similar to me. (Either that, or somebody in the studio made a BIG mistake.)
And as long as an artifact is activated by a Human, anything else can be done to it? Hm, I guess that makes sense since the Covenant was pretty good at using Covenant tech as shown in Halo 2.

Since Arbiters are sent on missions where they’re not really expected to survive, let alone have a recoverable body, a new set of armor is made each time.

Also, keep in mind, Ripa 'Moramee (the Arbiter in Halo Wars) was unusually tall for an Elite, so a new set would have to be made for him anyway.

As for the ships, as others have said, they needed Anders (any human would do, probably, but Anders had a little more knowledge) to activate them, from then on i’m guessing the Covenant would be able to use them. They’ve been reverse-engineering Forerunner tech for thousands of years, obviously they’re able to get the job done :P.

I actually did Not notice the first one… that’s a Very good question… I guess the Covies are just pretty dumb. Haha =)
as for #2, I don’t know… I -Yoink!- they had the same armor mostly but…I guess it would Have to be a new set since the armor got thrown over than the whole planet like super nova-d. lol =P

Ripa had his own armor cause he was so much bigger than all the other elites. The armor you see Thel wearing was probably still in the Mausoleum at that time, so not really a continuity issue there. And idk about the 1st one. Maybe once activated anyone can use them? idk. ._.
