If the banished return like people have been thinking in Halo infinite, my question is where does the rest of the Halo wars cast fit in? Especially considering the state of the universe and the fighting force of the unsc. I hope Anders, cutter, Isabel, and the unsc spirit of fire also join us in infinite. Imagine the duo of infinity and the spirit of fire and lasky and cutter and the different leading styles. Halsey and Anders bouncing ideas off of each other and Isabel and Roland chatting. Red team and blue team and Osiris teaming up. Ik that’s a huge cast, and I get 343 doesn’t want to overdue it with infinite like Halo 5, but I think since everyone will be on the same page, same fight it would allow a fluidity to the story with everyone there. My question is do you want the crew to return and if so to what capacity?
I wouldn’t mind the Spirit of Fire crew joining up with Infinity. They did say in the past Halo Infinite (called Halo 6 at the time) would connect with Halo Wars 2. Hard to say if thar promise is being kept since 343 has been having changes in creative direction with the campaign (Halo 5 was going to be much different at one point according to some concept arts).
I could be mistaken but isn’t red team split up right now? Some on the ark and the rest on the halo ring? Maybe who ever is on the ring meets up with Chief.
I’m pretty sure all of red team is on the ark, Anders alone went onto the ring.
There’s another possibility that many aren’t addressing yet: we might see the Banished forces without Atriox and the Spirit of Fire being involved at all.
We have to consider how big the Banished really are! The Brute leader only brought one of his ships to the arc, because he wasn’t expecting any resistance. The biggest chunk oh his forces are close to Reach right now and seeing how the prequel book to Halo Infinite (Shadows of Reach) is going to dug into that situation, I would guess we’re going to fight them far away from the HW2 crews. IF we’re getting Banished forced at all that is!
