I feel this may be the last Halo Wars I’m hopeful that I’m wrong. The game did so many things right and was a step on the right direction. It has a loyal following too. If anyone knows a little love that it is possible would be a great Christmas gift.
I agree. Hopefully they keep the series going. This is currently my all time davorite game.
If there is one, here’s hoping next-gen hardware lets them do a lot more with with army and map sizes, AI, and pathfinding. While we’re wishlisting, more factions, space battles, and an Empire at War-style Galactic Conquest mode that allows saving progress between friends. Oh, and cross-platform play from the start, as well as PC users being able to purchase through multiple clients.

I cannot agree more. HW3 should be a greater jump and not only a continuation of the current one. HW2 is almost perfect, lets enjoying for the next years and let’s start talking about the third few year later, shall we?
Man, call me crazy, but IMHO Halo Wars 2 is one of the bests games of this generation. I REALLY hope there’ll be a third game on the series. It’s ok if it’s just for the next generation, as long as the game exists!
Please, carry on the franchise!

Empire at war was a unique game but I would hate too see the game become like SWEAT. The multiplayer was lacking more than most other RTS for online. It was impossible to scout systems much of the time because probes were impossible to break through and heroes were costly and often taken to long to refresh. The victer was usually the one who reached the 3rd skill tree so your chance to win greatly lacked if you failed to play slightly aggressive. Don’t forget it was hard to not only scout what their amy consists but very difficult to find the main force so you had a hard time defending each planet. You had very little time to react as well so instead of focusing ways to counter, you pretty much was forced to overwhelm when attacking. Don’t forget that it was difficult to create a planet like wall to protect frontline planets as you could sometimes easily manuever and attack planets further in the back so blockades did not work like it should have.
