Has there been any type of announcement for Halo Wars 2? Is it in the works? Ive seen speculation… But I havent been able to find anything concrete.
Nope just speculation and hope. Since Ensemble isn’t around anymore. In a sense Spartan Assault and Strike are “related” to Wars since it uses alot of assets from Halo Wars and has the same angle of camera.
The chances of a Halo Wars 2 are slim but 343 don’t necessarily need Ensemble Studios to attempt it. In fact they have an outstanding opportunity to put the staff together to make it themselves. EA’s assholishness got the better of them and they fired all of the staff who made the Command and Conquer series. That’s over hundreds of staff with strategy game building experience looking for work. Now is a good a time as many to put the call out for RTS staff recruitment…
I really enjoyed this game, but the only way to win was to build 1000 of 1 unit type and go for the "construction yard’ and you never got any points. It was win early in 6 mins, or not at all. Think the mechanics could use some tweaking, but still so enjoyable.
343 industries said that it was in their project, but it wasn’t a priority. Thats all.
Id buy it.
I loved this game. One of my favorites.
But I would be happy too if they use the HW mechanics on the FPS game. With Smartglass and Kinect I would be awesome.
Games like BF4 and The Division, have something similar.
Imagine if you could recruit Marines and ODST to you online game to fight by your team side(like the titanfall AI, but stronger), or scorpions, maybe even a scarab… Man it would be awesome.
