Made this video to help folks like me that need the controls up beside them.

Blitz is kind of about speed and accumulation of unit and gathering energy. Throw out the typical slow building strategy. It was rough at first for me but very enjoyable now, helps if you have a consistent teammate. I’ll be uploading almost a two hour session we had (rendering in 4K 60fps has eclipsed 36 hours) hopefully this evening or tomorrow depending how long it take to upload it to YouTube or if it can 170 gb, little worried about that.

Did anyone else think that the controls were much better in the original Halo Wars? Everything that I tried to do in Halo Wars 2 seemed to take at least twice as long as it should. I hated the controls so much that I’m not even excited about the game anymore, which is unfortunate because I’ve been looking forward to it for many years. I’m kind of shocked that I can’t really find others complaining about the controls on the forums.

I thought it was me but the responsiveness seemed off. I was having to do the button combo commands a couple of times to get a response. I also noticed this on the pc version, but there to I thought it was me.

Yeah my main problem was with cycling thru unit types. I’d do All Units (having to double-tap something for this is silly) and as I hit RT repeatedly the responsiveness was terrible. The wide variety of units involved in Blitz made this even worse because sometimes the unit types wouldn’t even all fit on the screen. Also, the responsiveness for selecting Blitz cards was unbearable.

Exactly! Getting to the correct blitz card was fustrating.
