This would be the perfect use of kinect using voice commands and hand gestures to select a squad or more.
This HAS to happen!
Also… Kinect should NOT be mandetory to play it

Well, as long as it’s not mandatory…
I like the sound of this idea. I would be able to tell my warthogs to attack an enemy base and immediately right after tell my base to build a scorpion.
However, I agree that the Kinect should only be optional.
I would like voice command abilities, in fact I hope that becomes a thing an optional thing in all next-gen halo’s. It’d be fun to tell a marine what you want him to do, instead of them just wandering off getting killed.
Voice commands to complement controller input? Sign me up!
Halo Wars sold pretty decent (2+ million). It should warrant a sequel, probably when the X1 has sold 10+ million units for a good instal base.
Shut-up and take my money!
There’s certainly potential here.
I like it.
Halo Wars with Kinect might go something like this:
Me: Research greased bearings.
Game: Are you sure you want to self destruct this base?
Me: NO!!!
Game: Base destroyed.
Me: -_-
I know i might be over exaggerating a bit but i do see a lot of frustration that might come with Kinect implemented into Halo Wars. That’s why I only think this could work if using your Kinect to play it optional.

Well if it were to come out (which is EXTREMELY unlikely), it’d be exclusive to the Xbox One, no doubt. The Kinect that ships with Xbox One is going to be a lot better than the one for the 360. While I agree it’ll never be perfect and misunderstand you, but it’ll be optional.
They could use the Kinect 2.0 for forge, and create maps similar to what their doing with project spark. Allowing you to sculpt ridges and rivers and painting landscape. Then you can place objects similar to forge. This could make for some awesome custom games.
