Some things Starcraft 2 does really well. I LOVE Blink Stalkers because with good micro you can just annihilate people, I love Forcefields for the same reason.
If they ever make HW2 I’d love to see more ‘Y’ Button features. The UNSC are spoilt for choice in this regard, the Covenant on the other hand have; Scorch which always misses and banshee boost. Woo F***ing Hoo.
Some things in Starcraft I find really tedious, building your base takes way too long, you end up repeating the same actions for the first 6 minutes every single game. Also building 100 probes/SCVs ever match, come on, gimme a break, you are wasting valuable combat time mining crystals… It’s ridiculous.
It would be nice if anti-vehicle units were actual better than vehicles. Cobras and Hunters are my least used units in the game. Hunters are such a ball ache, slow to build, slow to move, can be rammed into oblivion by the units they are supposed to counter?! Whoever thought that would be a good idea should be fired, oh wait, they fired them all…
Expanding needs to be a viable option for Covenant.
The Prophet desperately needs a way of dealing with hogs. Give cleansing beam the slow effect of Super Sentinels, problem solved. They should also give him back his speed.
Canister tanks need a massive nerf.
Gauss hogs need an even bigger nerf.
Engineer upgrades need to either take significantly less time to research or you build and research them at your main.
Choppers need to be a viable option, in the canon, they are a warthog counter but not in Halo Wars. Worst unit in the game.
Troops need to move faster so they are more viable, currently they’re too limiting.
Troops need to hard counter air, not soft counter.
The Arbiter needs to be changed so he’s stationary during rage like the other leaders or at least remains at normal speed.
Unit movement needs to have less of an impact on hit detection. Tanks are supposed to hard counter hogs but they hardly ever hit their target, Wraiths versus hogs is a joke, but banshees abuse this too. Diablo Soul and I beat a high level 2s team the other week. The only reason we won was because they went Gauss on Repository, I went wraiths and Super Sentinels, his hogs were slowed down by the sentinels and the wraiths ripped them to shreds. If that had been on Docks it would have been another story entirely. So I’d give wraiths a vehicle slowing effect instead of scorch.
Maps need to be more balanced and we need more maps with unique hooks on them. I really love hooks on maps, it’s such an interesting idea and really changes the way they are played.
Any protector hooks should need to be garrisoned before you can produce units from them. I hate Labyrinth because it’s just a cheese fest of offensive protectors.
That’s just off the top of my head, but there’s plenty more where that came from.
