Halo Wars 2 will probably look like this.

If they make a halo Was 2, they should really look at Star craft 2 wings of liberty as their big brother.

When you click a unit, a little picture box should appear showing the unit. Also when you look at a unit up-close, it looks amazing and not some cartoony Plato figurine. Halo wars has the mechanics down, now they just need to be a graphic overhaul, and sure… add a few units. Also, they should make 4 races to command, each with a certain ability.

Covenant
Promethean/ Forerunner
Flood

And to spice up matchmaking, they could do something that they did in Halo 4.
You unlock specializations as you rank up and earn credits or Spartan points.
(Or command Points)Like, if you reach rank 25 for example, you unlock an ability to aide you in combat.

( maybe you don’t unlock a full army until you reach a certain rank. If you play as a Human, than you could unlock the mantis or something) Or you could just unlock a combat perk. Whatever floats your boat.

It is inevitable. They will make a Halo Wars 2. I bet my money that it’s already in the works and will be announced at Next year’s E3 alongside Halo 2 Anniversary.

Please discuss some ideas that you have and you would like to see in Halo Wars 2. Please build off or improve on my idea.

unlocking stuff as you rank up will make the game completely unfair for newer players. adding unlockables to an RTS doesn’t work; can’t remember what it was called but there was an RTS that had that. all that happened was new players got crapped on by higher rank players and the only way to win was to grind hard until you unlocked the emp(it could work if you unlocked stuff at a certain true skill, and then if you went below that true skill you lose the unlock).

I think the graphics need to be improved but tbh the look of the game is the least of my concerns. Pathing, leader/faction balance and unit balance should come first.

and how much money are you betting? because halo wars 2 is unlikely to happen any time soon.

I definately like what I see here. Four races would be incredible. I didnt play alot of Halo Wars but I did love it. For anyone that doesnt know Halo Combat Evolved was originally a RTS that added the feature to take over one of of your own troops and therefore become a FPS. The story i heard is that developers had so much fun just being the single soldier that they just made the whole game a FPS. Id like to see this feature return in a Halo Wars sequel.

I remember dungeon keeper having a spell to take over one of the creatures in your dungeon; increasing health and attack(I think?). Lead and destroy was an ‘RTS’ with a leader controlled in first person or 3rd person view. so these things can work; but then the game becomes a tactic game instead of an RTS.

I think the Prometheans as a race in halo wars would be great. But the only problem is they have no vehicles. But I just thought of their uber unit. Didact war sphinx! It would cost mostly the same as the scarab. It could have a disintegration beam that works much like the scarabs beam but it has to charge and fires one shot at a time. It could be able to disintegrate vehicles and infantry which would look awesome. Kind of like how the promethean weapons can disintegrate Spartans in Halo 4.

Just had a pretty scary thought… If Halo wars 2 takes place presumably after Halo 4… there wouldn’t be a covenant. It would be a Storm Covenant and there wouldn’t be any prophets! And the Storm Covenant are working with the Prometheans! This is complicated…

But 343 is just going to have to figure it out I guess. I wouldn’t mind a prequel, but it would be cooler if they find Spirit of fire after Halo 4.

Wouldn’t it be cool if in an episode of Spartan ops, you detect a beacon in space and you go to investigate! And you get there and it’s the spirit of fire drifting in space getting boarded by Storm covenant. That would be cool but it sounds a little like Master Chief and forward unto dawn.

Here is my idea…

“Captain Wake up… something has happened”

The spirit of fire drifts into a known system and Serena says “this looks familiar…”

Turns out they drifted in Sangheili space and they get spotted by a UNSC probe spying on Sanghelios.
Captain Cutter orders everyone get out of cryosleep. They get surrounded by a bunch of UNSC ships and they get welcomed back. For Captain Cutters bravery, he gets a new ship with same crew. Guess what…

Serena is rampant so she gets kicked. Cutter gets a mission to go down to Sanghelios to explore some artifacts. Then something bad happens and the storyline plays out.

During the campaign you will fight some faction of covenant and some Prometheans.
Prometheans you ask? That doesn’t make sense because their only on shield worlds…

Well, if you read The Thursday War you will learn that the Elite home world of Sanghelios if filled with forerunner teleporter transit systems that link to other forerunner installations. So one gets activated and a bunch of Prometheans get through. Story wise, they probably came from Requiem or any other shield world it was linked to.

That’s the story I see happening. What do you think? Good idea? Discuss Please.

Some things Starcraft 2 does really well. I LOVE Blink Stalkers because with good micro you can just annihilate people, I love Forcefields for the same reason.

If they ever make HW2 I’d love to see more ‘Y’ Button features. The UNSC are spoilt for choice in this regard, the Covenant on the other hand have; Scorch which always misses and banshee boost. Woo F***ing Hoo.

Some things in Starcraft I find really tedious, building your base takes way too long, you end up repeating the same actions for the first 6 minutes every single game. Also building 100 probes/SCVs ever match, come on, gimme a break, you are wasting valuable combat time mining crystals… It’s ridiculous.

It would be nice if anti-vehicle units were actual better than vehicles. Cobras and Hunters are my least used units in the game. Hunters are such a ball ache, slow to build, slow to move, can be rammed into oblivion by the units they are supposed to counter?! Whoever thought that would be a good idea should be fired, oh wait, they fired them all…

Expanding needs to be a viable option for Covenant.

The Prophet desperately needs a way of dealing with hogs. Give cleansing beam the slow effect of Super Sentinels, problem solved. They should also give him back his speed.

Canister tanks need a massive nerf.

Gauss hogs need an even bigger nerf.

Engineer upgrades need to either take significantly less time to research or you build and research them at your main.

Choppers need to be a viable option, in the canon, they are a warthog counter but not in Halo Wars. Worst unit in the game.

Troops need to move faster so they are more viable, currently they’re too limiting.

Troops need to hard counter air, not soft counter.

The Arbiter needs to be changed so he’s stationary during rage like the other leaders or at least remains at normal speed.

Unit movement needs to have less of an impact on hit detection. Tanks are supposed to hard counter hogs but they hardly ever hit their target, Wraiths versus hogs is a joke, but banshees abuse this too. Diablo Soul and I beat a high level 2s team the other week. The only reason we won was because they went Gauss on Repository, I went wraiths and Super Sentinels, his hogs were slowed down by the sentinels and the wraiths ripped them to shreds. If that had been on Docks it would have been another story entirely. So I’d give wraiths a vehicle slowing effect instead of scorch.

Maps need to be more balanced and we need more maps with unique hooks on them. I really love hooks on maps, it’s such an interesting idea and really changes the way they are played.

Any protector hooks should need to be garrisoned before you can produce units from them. I hate Labyrinth because it’s just a cheese fest of offensive protectors.

That’s just off the top of my head, but there’s plenty more where that came from.

I absolutley love halo wars i am a die hard fan of it. I’m sure there are more like me out there that want a sequel to halo wars. this game is epic i love strategy. If you guy’s agree with me keep fighting for this game. The creators of this awesome game will eventually give in and make a sequel because everbody wants it. So please guys keep urging on. U believe i speak for all these people on this fine network make halo wars 2 please everybody wants it Thank you.
