Halo wars 2 where all you need to win is mass air

Air spam has broken this game it seems every single game is just air spam with healing units. Healing units should not be able to heal while in battle.

Waypoint, where there’s never a lack of air is OP threads… What exactly are you struggling with in fighting mass air? Some details would help myself and the rest of community give you some tips. Generally speaking, early pressure will ruin someone going air since it’s so expensive and takes a while to build up. In team games air is certainly very useful, but can still easily be countered by AA, and proper splitting/placement of said AA.

Yeah…this whole sitting back and letting someone build max pop air and then getting hammered doesnt happen if you scout and apply consistent pressure. A diverse army is much harder to deal with.

In 1v1s, air is usable if not underpowered. In teams, it is a good tool to use because of its mobility and speed but there is absolutely counter play to it. I assure you that if you are trying to double quick tech air against someone that knows how to play the game, you will not win.

Scouting is important but it basically comes down to “If you can’t beat them. Join them”

Hold command, AA turrets, fortifications upgrades. Have AA left at your bases to play defense, and keep some with your army in case they engage you. AA is so effective in killing air that it’s often suicide for someone going air to engage any force with AA in it, it’s all hit and run tactics that exploit positioning mistakes on your part.

You need to also put pressure on the air spammer. Air doesn’t become an issue till they have about 20 units, that’s plenty of time to pressure them and prevent that critical mass.

AA doesn’t cost power, it’s called core infantry. Make core infantry and a little bit of the dedicated AA (as much as it costs them to tech up their air to not be garbage) and you will be good. As long as you don’t just sit at your base and let them make 120 pop banshees that is.

> Twitch , on a more serious note, scout the map so you know where they are going, wolves move a tthe same speed as air and reavers have jump. I have very little difficulity keeping my aa by their air especially in 3s.

it’s not, the devs know it’s there and have never said it was an exploit as far as I’m aware.

Look buddy, if your base is left unguarded, you can bet your -Yoink- that I will bring 40 Decimus Banshees and destroy it.
Counterplay as a Decimus Main.

  • AA left to defend
  • Stun LPs + AA
  • Cloak Gen
  • Sending something to destroy my Apexes, a Small Locust Squad or something. Better with Teleport.
  • Destroy my assault and immediatly counter-attack
