Yes I i’m just updating it now. Must be pretty big. Hopefully some campaign locked away in it.
i updated last night, it was only 794mb for me.

Yes have it too and it is very annoying coming back after 10hour workday and with my slow network here remotely in kuwait (i am an expat working here for a half year) i cant play it for this evening… maybe even tommorow on my weekend. Thanks for this halo wars this sucks!!
I had 2 friends get a 30GB update as well last night. Mine updated fine with the 800MB-ish update.
Idk what the cause is to this I’ve had the same issue with halo the master chief collection it appears to be making us download the entire game again I have halo wars digitally on Xbox.
Is there any relation to Ultimate owners vs regular? Just wondering if there might be some impending DLC coming that is being sent to Ultimate edition owners preemptively? Just grasping at straws to why as I had the 30gb update last night too.

Yes I had a 29.37 update too, this seems to be a common issue whereby the whole.game is redownliaded instead of just the patch.
I haven’t played yet today.
Ill check it out.
Maybe the different update sizes correlate to if you have the season pass or not?

I had to update the game today but it was only about 250 meg’ish and i do have the season pass/ultimate edition
The update doesnt seem to be available for me yet (PC thing i assume), so i really hope i don’t have to redownload the whole game. The last update took nearly 8 hours or something to download on my home internet connection (which is admittedly pretty crap, but not THAT crap).
Although i suppose the internet here at university would be much faster.

I have ultimate and my download was only 700mb.
