Story wise Halo Wars 2 was and is just epic…
The Crew of the Spirit awaking at the Ark, the fight against the Banished and them again awakening the Flood.
This is so much beyond Halo 5’s story and made in my eyes Halo again “feel right”.
The cutscenes (too few, too short and in both main story lines a too open and abrupt ending) were amazing in general, they brought the epic Halo feeling back.
Since Halo Wars 2 is a Halo Canon Story, will this affect also Halo 6?
What I can really hope for Halo 6 is that this great story line will be somehow connected or continued with & in Halo 6.
Halo Wars 2 has perhaps never reached financially the spheres of Halo 5, but it was the much bigger positive contribution to the reception of Halo in general.
It will. He final cutscene of the original camping teased. Something tells me the Ark will be a big focus on Halo 6. I’m guessing Infinity will be near the Ark. Atriox, Cutter, and Anderson will be involved and then Forerunners and Cortana raise hell.
Im just curious to see if the flood return. That is something im not sure Halo 6 will do

I would love the Flood coming back… This would make the fight again a fight about survival itself, the only fight that matters.

You do know that halo 6 is going to be a epic failure, even you fanboys should know, it will be the last nail in 343i coffin

Just saying 343 track record of annihilating the halo franchise hasn’t been broken yet.
So I can’t understand how you guys can be so optimistic, you know you are a minority more and more with every game 343i tries to make.
I would love to see halo franchise being saved from 343i, that is most optimistic view I can have for the future.

Lets hope that it doesnt follows Mass Effects footsteps…
Halo 6 is too important for the Xbox brand in general… I guess we cant expect anything average.
So they will go with 50-100 Mio. $ production costs.

I hope so. From a life long Halo fan I do feel that whilst the gameplay and mechanics of Halo 5 were top notch, the story was very lacking. Aside from the fact that the story had only references to the story they were marketing, they killed off characters such as Mdama that they spent ages building up in a lacklustre way.
I feel that HW2 has given real investment into Atriox and the SoF crew, and as some people have mentioned before, I kind of get the feeling that the Ark is going to be a staging ground for a Battle of the Five Armies-esque conflict. I read somewhere that the Ark is outside of Cortanas control so it would only make sense the story ends up there.
I was upset about the no show of Halo 6 at E3, whether that was to retain focus on HW2 or not I’m glad because I want them to put in as much time as possible into getting Halo 6 right

I’m not sure. I don’t think so. I haven’t played on Legendary yet to find out.

Its mostly been made by CA. So it being set on the Ark is basically giving them a sandbox to play around in. So I think both stories are being kept distinct.
I mean they have already reinforced in the Phoenix’s logs that the Gravemind is a galactic conscience that can appear on the Ark and in the wider galaxy so there’s no reason one will feed into the other. Also the Banished seem oblivious to Cortana which implies they themselves have no presence in the wider galaxy.
What you guys think when Halo 6 will be released?

STILL… In my eyes for such a Triple A title 3-years of development between releasing Halo 5 and Halo 6 is quite short…
For example, Halo 6 must be judged and compared with the best of the best, perhaps GTA V, Witcher 3 or other Triple A Singleplayer titles… Mostly these are developed around the 4-5 years…
I hope that they will release a Halo which leaves footprints behind, story wise and also technically with Scorpios power…

Every post you have made in any thread you’ve opened, is just you slagging of the game and 343i in general. You’re essentially like a guy who sat down with a plate of food he had just made, decides he doesn’t like it. And rather than get up and try something else walk to every room in the house with the plate and tell people how terrible it is whilst still eating.
Don’t like what you’ve got? FIND SOMETHING ELSE! No point ranting and crying whilst also insulting everyone else as “fanboys” for still playing but who recognise the flaws.
