The problems started when I got the game at launch, and it constantly crashed. I gave the developers the benefit of the doubt and gave them time to patch the game. After more than a year after the launch of the game, I decided to install the game again and play some more. To my suprise, the game still crashes constantly in every campaign match. The gameplay suddenly freezes and then a black screen appears. I can hear sound, and my mouse cursor changes as I hover over the black screen, but I can’t actually see the game. This normally happens 10 to 20 minutes into the game.
I know this is not a personal issue as many people have reported the exact same symptoms. I wish i had refunded the game back when I could, I guess having faith in this developer was a big mistake. I spent 60 euro on a game that doesn’t even run, and i definately meet the minimum specs requirement.
I’m playing on Windows 10, and my PC specs are the following:
CPU: Intel i5 3570k
GPU: Radeon HD 7970 3 GB
RAM: 8GB DDR3
And also plenty of disk space and power from my PSU.
DirectX 12 is installed correctly, with feature levels 11_1 and 11_0 as well.
Yes, even I am getting black screen every time after 5 minutes into the game. I have HP Omen 2018 and the specs definitely met the requirements. I have completely updated GE Force drivers and they should not be the problem. I don’t know why this keeps happening and if others are also facing similar issue with this game? Developers should look into this and release the patch if required.
Nothing. So many people have this same issue and 343 won’t even take the time to reply to a post en their support forums. What a joke of a developer really.
Ever since the new update my game has been crashing a lot. I have crashed in a ranked match on PC and I getting even more upset that i keep going down in ranks because of my disconnection. Can’t there be an option to quickly rejoin instead of having to deal with it as a loss because it is tiresome losing 50% - 75% of progress and only getting 20% - 40% for every win.
I really enjoy the game but having to deal with crashing or connectivity issues really makes me quit and not play for days.

RAM: 16gb DDR4
UPDATE: I posted this because my game crashed and I just found out I lost +60% progress on my recent match.
UPDATE 2: Game crashed again. on PC. On rank.same day.
UPDATE 3: My last 3 games have all crashed. all within the hour. I had nothing to lose yet i am disappointed.
Just like to add to the discussion, I’ve only ever played Campaign until today. Tried a bit of MP v AI and was doing well then all of a sudden Black Screen and then the game crashed. I mainly play Blizzard games and none of them have ever crashed, so its not my PC.
Doesn’t look like 343 are interested in fixing the issue but i’ll post my specs just for the lol’s

So i was looking for an answer about a week ago and i found the July Update thread. To my understanding and what a 343 mod said, it seems to be an installation issue, of course I can’t confirm. My game only crashed every time I was in a party on the Xbox app/
I would suggest re-installing the game or try playing the game without any other app open in the background. you can also report this in the July Update Thread so the Devs realize there is an issue.

I finally reinstalled the game. It has helped out but i still crash randomly but less than before. if you still have any questions, take them to the july update thread. reinstalling does help out a lot.
