If this is true Halo Wars 2 will come to Steam, Halo Wars DE was very successful on Steam so it’d make sense to release there, Microsoft, 343 and CA are only losing money by not releasing on Steam.
Although it may be desirable to launch in “steam”
Depopulation is problematic unless the server becomes one
Personally i think the reason they didn’t launch it along with the DE is because they would want to do it right and allow matchmaking with the win10 version to fix that problem also.
It is possible because of rocket league but would take longer them just a uwp to steam port.
That’s the only thing that makes sense unless they never plan on releasing it on steam in the immediate future.
yeah please make it compatable with Win10 also if this happens… its ridiculous enough that halo wars DE has 3 different servers already making 3 different populations that is absolutely crap… only reason I would switch to it is not everyone is computer smart like a lot of us so Win10 store is dieing off like a going extinct animal. but also I hope they make the game cross- platform reguardless… most of us don’t use a keyboard and mouse because we don’t want carpel tunnel worse then we already have it so that’s why we use a controller on all of our COMPUTER games haha…
HW2 on steam would be really awesome. If it goes to steam, please don’t seperate community from Windows Store players. I purchased Ultimate Edition on PC because I think this game is the only competitor to SC2 and since Generals 2 cancelled by EA, I was waiting for a game like this.
