Do you guys think that the SoF (Spirit of Fire) will ever cross paths with the Infinity?
It would be cool to see Red Team meet Blue Team after being MIA for soo long.
I don’t think they will cross paths so soon. Maybe Professor Anders will make an appearance as installation 09 was abducted by Cortana’s Guardian but maybe in the future games it can appear
I predicted it after the trailers for Halo Wars 2 showed them reaching the Ark.
What we know:
The Spirit of Fire is on the Ark, without the means to get back to Earth, and even if they did, the Created are a problem.
The Infinity is fleeing Cortana’s forces until they can figure out how to fight her.
The Ark is the only location that’s beyond Cortana’s reach, that’s not beyond theirs.
In the novels we’re directly told that the Domain is the Organon, and that Organon is a corruption of the name Abbadon, and that Abaddon is a Precursor AI. (If A=B and B=C, then A=C)
There’s a theme of personal sacrifice in Halo.
So it’s perfectly reasonable to conclude that the Infinity would go to the Ark, where they’d meet the Spirit of Fire. The Ark is also one of the Forerunners’ greatest achievements, so it likely has significant records of their civilization… potentially even including the location of Maethrillian and what is concealed within its core (The Precursor AI Abaddon, that had faded into Forerunner myth by the time of the Halos, being called the Organon. What the Forerunners didn’t realize was that their “Domain” was actually the memory of Abaddon, wiped by the Halos, rebooted by Bornstellar’s team, and now populated by AI using it as a galaxy-spanning internet. If someone could reboot Abaddon again, they could wipe out its memory, likely erasing all of the AI stored there, including Cortana. Given Cortana’s resources at her disposal, the heroes might have to sacrifice Infinity to create the opening they need to defeat Cortana, which would fit into the theme of personal sacrifice.
Of course, I don’t know if that’s what they’ll do, but it’s my standing hypothesis until we actually get an answer.
I doubt we’ll see them unless it’s part of some ‘On Your Left’ moment ala Avengers Endgame. They’ve gone through pretty great lengths to keep the two games separate so beyond just a cameo appearance in a big ‘this is the final battle’ sequence they’re probably gonna stay out in space on their own.

The Infinity pulling the Spirit of Fire’s bacon out of the fire above the Ark would potentially give us a chance to drive the vehicles used in the Halo Wars games alongside the ones we’ve been using in the main series of FPS games. I personally want to drive a Wolverine.
I also think there’s a lot of potential for the old colony ship and the new dreadnought to team up, get to Maethrillian, and out-wit Cortana and her “Created”.
I’d absolutely love to have access to all the different vehicles as well, but I just don’t think that it will happen.
It is would be cool and is very possible as the SoF blew its jump drive at the ark so unless they are lost in space some where I damaged that it would be hard for the infinity to not notice another unsc ship in orbit. Tell me it wouldn’t be cool to actually drive a grizzly tank
