This armor is good looking, to be sure, but an antique…I think it’s Mark IV pre-shield tech, which got integrated the day before Reach fell.
Apparently you don’t know much about Halo. If you did, you’d notice that the Halo Wars 2 Spartans wear Mark IV. That armor is in Halo 5 -not exact armor but it’s close.
i think what the op is referring to is the art style which imo is waay better in halo wars 2

Yeah, I think the Mark IV Arcadia is a nod to the original HW, even though the trim looks different…Jerome-092’s Red Team deployed on Arcadia to help evac citizens and stuck with SoF after that. They’d likely still be wearing their same tech for HW2.

Your thinking of Mark V and it was a month or two before Reach fell.
Mark V wasn’t available until Halsey upgraded the survivors of Fred’s Red Team in First Strike. S-III (Cat-II)s had Mark V armor, but it wasn’t Halsey’s design, it was developed through Ackerson’s S-III prorgan outside of Halsey’s control and knowledge, but using her design.
You’re right, though…it was the Mark IV AI integration test with Cortana that happened just before before Reach fell.
