I just played 4 matches in a row were all players on the enemy team rushed. Note I scouted the enemy team early and built the counter units and turrets but they did nothing to stop them. Imo everything should cost power and supply. This would definitely make a rush cost more and make the game more strategic since it is and RTS.
explain your build order and what people build to attack you, most rushes are easy to stop when scouted and having a descent economy. You played 4 games so far so i guess you are still in the learning process so lets start by looking how you handled it im sure we can help
I’ve played this game and I learned how to counter rushes, and I expect them now actually. But I agree, rushing is really annoying and should have been Nerfed, but since 343 is done patching the game there is not much we can do
Rushing is part of the game, every loss is a lesson. It’s why you can’t just pick up the game and be a top tier player out of the gate. You will be exposed and you will learn whats possible and you may even steal some moves you see done to you. Its all a collection of experiences.
Step 1: Watch high level tournaments
Step 2: Notice most rushes are instalosses for the rusher
Step 3: Notice all tournaments have anti turtling rules
Step 4: Watch streams where people deliberately turtle
Step 5: Try turtling with banished (or Anders/Serina)
Step 6: Come back to this thread and delete it
Rush units are already weak and easy to deal with.

Usually I go supply pad, generator jackrabbit and start gather supplies and power. At around 1:30 I will scout and if i see a raid camp or barracks i will build hellbringers and snipers or, i if i have the enough power I will upgrade and build vehicles. With this build, I can stop a one person rush. But when all three enemies rush counter units do nothing.
ooooh you are talking about teams, yeah major tip dont solo q. I lost my mind several times in the past solo queing teams
Team rushes on one player are tough and a bit unfair, yeah but in 1s they can be repelled easily

I have that same problem. I think core units should cost even more power but that’s my opinion. I do get a lot of good strategic advice from omegle or youtwitch.

They should balance this game more.
I think the air units are WAY too good…and the reason is not “the Air units are op”…the reason is about the wrong choice from the developer…
Let me tell you something and please think about it before complaining.
Why the hell are COUNTER units (Reaver and Wolvorine) more expensve than Spamable air units? Reaver and wolvorine needs energy fpr building…and lets be honest…Energy is rare until endgame. They should swap the prices from reaver / wolverine to Banshee/choppers. If air units needs energy, it would be impossible to spam this units and spaming air units are the only reason why they are so overpowered. Not to mention they can easily escape reavers / wolvorine or any…ANY Special power.
And a Reaver/Wolvorine is ONLY good against Air. So if you spam THEM…there is nothing wrong about it. They cant kill humans, tanks, bases or something else. They are just there…but Banshee/Chopper? Common we all nonw what the hell they can do to…
And if you say: “Git gut” there should be only 2 reason why you say this:
- You are using Air spam and dont want to get rid of it.
- You are on headsets (3vs3) and can rush / counter it easily…but it should be possible to play WITHOUT headsets.
I think the Price swap would be the perfect solution. Let Reaver and Wolvorine costs 325 money and banshees/chopper should be money AND energy.
Everyone is complaining about air units and it dont come from anywhere…It is boring too if 90% of every match, you have to take care of air units who can destroy bases in seconds and flee to the next base…common please do something about this.

Air is only good when fully upgraded but even then it can be stopped. Air is only OP if you didn’t expect it. Like Johnson making hornets. Counter units cost power because they do their job very well especially banished counter units. Counter units are not meant to be spammed they are meant to be sprinkled into your army to counter another army. If your banished and want to counter banchees at t3 make banchees yourself but make some reavers as well to win the fight. Don’t make all reavers because then your forced to play defense which will cause you to eventually lose. Same thing with hunters and elite rangers, make a few just to counter what the other player has but mix in main units and support troops as well. Honestly putting a cloaking generator on your bases hard counters banchees anyway because they are too dumb to make even 1 engineer. If your in a 1v1 u should be easily able to stop an air spammer.
Scouting saves lives 
Every RTS has rushing dude. You have to defend and learn to counter. As someone said Scouting helps a lot.
The thing about rushing (early game) is that they’re extremely weak units that do little to no damage. You can quite literally sit there for a solid 3 minutes ignoring them without any issue. Rushing isn’t meant to end the game early, it’s purely just to distract you (or free up unit space), but about 90% of the time it actually just distracts the rusher from minding his own base (so while your progressing your build, he’s fiddling with a scout). I don’t see a problem with it, even the Normal level AI rush secondary bases and attempt to harass you.
