Hey there I have a question about Halo Wars 2. This is a Play Anywhere title, we can buy it on Xbox One and play it on Windows 10 and vice versa. So, why is the Windows 10 edition of the game priced at €59,99 while the Xbox One edition is priced at €69,99. I don’t get it, isn’t it the same game? And we also pay for gold. I would like someone from 343 to explain to me why is this happening. Of course I can buy it from PC for lower price but I don’t get the reason behind this. I haven’t checked for other markets but in Greece, and Germany that I’ve checked, that’s the case!
Might just be with your region. Both the ultimate edition and standard edition are the same price on both platforms in the states.
It’s not only on my region I’ve checked some other regions with the same pricing. Also if you check in UK there is also a different price there, but not that big difference. In Germany, Slovakia, Greece and some others there is the 10€ difference. Anyway thanks for the response, I hope 343 can look into this.
It’s $59.99 here in america ultimate is another $39.99
This happened to me prior for the Halo Wars 2 Ultimate edition pre-order in the UK. If I pre-ordered through the xbox itself it was £64.99 but if I did it on the site it was £69.99
Eventually it was corrected to be £64.99 on the site too. But I ain’t sure if it was a bug or so.
It makes no sense. That’s why I report it here. I don’t know if it’s a bug but it seems so! I know in US it’s the same price but look for example here in Greece! PC , Xbox
I wondered about that too. I just bought the cheaper Version on the Windows store… I guess there are enough People that pay more and buy directly on the console…
Yes! But this hasn’t happened with any other Play Anywhere title. If that’s the case then it’s a shame for Microsoft and 343. They should correct the price and return the €10 to anyone who paid it.
Make sure you check if it’s the ultimate edition or the normal edition.
For the ultimate edition it’s the same price for PC and Xbox (€89,99) but on the normal edition there is this difference. That’s what makes me think it’s a bug.
