According to the article featured through the link, 343 discisses how it would be possible for the sequel to work through Kinect (god who would want that though) and says that they would like to persue a sequel to the highly successful RTS but not right now.

Fixed your link.
And who knows, a RTS you can control through Kinect might work well if they do it right.
thank you
I would love to see HW2
I seem to see you in quite a few on my posts he man, lol
A reason to get Kinect, I would love to see a PC port really, the controller is extremely limited when it comes to RTS’s.
idk. thats alot of money just to buy the movement tech. hell the Wii costs the same and you get more with it. I have been a hardcore console/controller guy sice I started play games at the age of 5, it would be hard fo rme to break my ways, lol. idk if they do make halo wars 2 kinect compatible please make it a option only and not a sole rail game like the new fable game
That article comes from before they announced CEA, I wonder if any ideas have moved forward since then.
Old article.
And who would want a HW2 with Kinect? Well…me, and a lot of other people who I’ve already suggested the concept before 343i spoke about it (and since then also).
And why? Simply because RTS games work on a console…but don’t work as good as they should. Mainly because of the restrictions of the conroller (limited buttons for instance). Kinect could feature voice/motion controls in combination with the controller and it could actually make RTS games run properly on consoles.
If there is one genre in particular that could benefit…maybe even NEED Kinect support, its the RTS genre. Add to that: MS needs big core Kinect titles. If a HW2 is in the works right now, I can guarantee you it will feature Kinect in the best (optional) way we have seen so far…simply because it is more natural within the genre than in other genres.
