Does anyone have any leads or idea’s as to what Halo Wars 2 plot will be?
For some reason I just feel like it will either take place during the Sangheili/Jareane Civil war, or UNSC infinity meets UNSC spirit of Fire (Crashed version) I wonder how Halo Wars 2 will turn out giving so many posibilities

My best guess would be that the Spirit of Fire is found drifting in space by the Covenant during the events of Halo 2. I say Halo 2 because if the Spirit of Fire was found by the UNSC before Halo 1, then the UNSC would have been informed about the Flood. Also, Brutes were everywhere in Halo 2 and the one antagonist we’ve seen so far in Halo Wars 2 is a Brute Chieftain. Of course, I can only guess. No one knows for sure yet.

I would say after Halo 2, just because they want to mess with us. Just like having the Flood in the original and forerunners.

Yeah, but since Humans are on the run, I’d think it would be Halo 3. In Halo 2 Spartans and humans didnt run from Brutes. It was also made clear by bungie in side seriese that spartans we’re totally gone. Humans we’re running IN Halo 3 to be honest. There Also could be hints to this pointing to Halo: The Return Animated Side Story. The biggest point in time where Brute and Humans confronted liek the trialer showed would’ve been Late Halo 3 cuase in Halo 2 it was mostly Elites vs Brutes. Which was the start or the civil War and wasn’t finished until roughly oh…a year or so after 2552. It was actually apart of the fight for Sangheilio’s if I am correct. But Halo 2 would be a good point to orginate with it. During Halo 4 or after would also make since if you read some of the books. You know, Halo Wars 2 could also take place during Halo Reach. So many places it could be.
Hopefully, we’ll get some info about the game at e3.
Well judging by the recent comics Halo Escalation, one issue shows spirit of fire was adrift, the cryo tubes were empty but there was one flood infection form on-board, so whether or not the story will show how that came to be is anyone’s guess at this stage. Hopefully we’ll see Red team get back Home and possible a future link with Blue team thus giving us three more of the Spartan II’s back where they should be…together and alive!!!

HOnestly I dont liek Red team, I think OMEGA TEAM which was also apart of UNSC Spirit of fire, should be the ones to appear.
Looking at the trailer, i’d say the brute is Tarterus.
