So, scrolling through the new Pheonix Log entries for Elite-led Grunts and Elite Enforcers, I couldn’t help but notice that the plasma pistols the elites have in the little picture were just a flat purple colour with no detail. They also seem to be holding the plasma pistol in reverse, with the grip facing outwards and his hand covering the plasma emitter.
Obviously it’s not a big deal - but it’s a little disturbing for a lore nerd to see a presumably battle-hardened Sangheili mercenary apparently unable to use the most prolific weapon amongst all of the Covenant and assorted Covenant splinter factions when he goes to have a look at the new Phoenix logs.
By the way, yes I get that Covenant weapons are purple, these are unusually purple. See for yourself the next time you’re in game.
