I bought halo wars 2 and when I start it. It shows halo then starts up full screen and I hear music in the background but nothing showing just a black screen I tried waiting multiple times. I contacted Microsoft the said my pc meets all the required specs and plus it’s a fairly new pc. My windows 10 is fully updated so at this point it is a game issue. I paid 60$ to stare at a black screen… any solutions or patches?

So did you just keep opening and closing the program? How did you get it to work?

Yeah. I have mine set to window mode. which I do not know if that matters but it has worked for me. Just a pain because it can sometimes take a while for it to work

Not to sound dumb but how did you set it to window mode I’ve been trying too o.o

You don’t. it took me a little bit to figure it out myself. Options & Extra—> Video —> Fullscreen. Tab that one over to window mode

How many times did you have to restart it?

I have not had to count it yet. I just do it until I get it to work
I am having the same issue… one after reinstalling the game in hope to fix the previous issue of the game crashing and failing to even load. If i had a disc id break it mail it back to 343.
