Halo wars 2 online not working

I play halo wars 2 somewhat frequently and last night I got on and when I hit ‘find match’ it says,

“PROFILE
ONLINE PERMISSION REQUIRED
An Xbox Live Gold membership or permission for online gameplay is required.”

I have gold, I’ve had it for several years, now. Just to make sure, I opened up several other online games; Apex Legends, Minecraft Dungeons, and Elder Scrolls Online, and they are all fine. I tried reinstalling, hard and soft resets, reloading the game… nothing’s working, I really just want to play this game and it won’t work at all because of this.

Give it a little time - see if it works today, for instance. If not, report the issue to Halo Support.
