I have an issue downloading halo wars 2. I bought the game (disc copy) a few months ago, it downloaded and played just fine. A month ago it had an update. For down reason the update either finished and I couldn’t play the game or it didn’t update and I still couldn’t play the game. So I uninstalled the game and tried reinstalling it. I thought that would fix the issue but it was not letting me install the game. It kept popping up error code 0x80070570. I contacted both game stop and Microsoft support and spent an hour or 2 on the phone with both trying to resolve the issue. We tried several trouble shooting attempts to finally coming to the conclusion that I just have a corrupted disc. So I gave up and sold the game. So today 9/26/2017. I saw on the Xbox marketplace that there was a complete edition for halo wars 2 with all the dlc. So I went ahead buying it, thinking that since it’s a digital copy I would have no issues. The same exact code and issue happened again. I can download all the dlc and season pass for the game, but not the game itself. I then spent a hour and a half trying to fix the issue with Microsoft again over the phone. The service rep then tried pushing up the chain of command of problems but my issue was taken. So I am left with just all the dlc but no game. He told me to contact the developers and here I am writing this message. Hoping for someone to reach out to me. Please help, I love halo wars, I’ve put so many hours into the first and 2nd of the series. I don want a refund I just want the game to download so I can play it. - <mark>phone / email removed by moderator - don’t post personal information please</mark> - can you please again help me with my issue or direct me to someone who can.
Have you tried running a factory reset on the console?
This is correct, try a factory reset. Before you do this, if you have an external hard drive I’d recommend moving all your currently installed games over to it. That way you don’t have to reinstall everything.
The same thing is happening to me. I’m not going to download all my games again on the off chance it fixes this bull -Yoink- issue, I just want a refund. It’s utterly unacceptable that a game I paid 60$ forbsimply isn’t playable. I don’t know how I’m going to go about getting a refund but I suppose I’ll have to contact Microsoft?

People are trying this to no avail,so hopefully you guys can address this soon
I’m having the same issue with my halo wars 2. It went to like 21g/ 40g to be downloaded and would t continue after that. I just uninstalled and and am trying to reinstall.
I have raised this to the Xbox team, I believe one of the servers for distribution may have some corrupt data. I want to thank the people who flattened their Xboxes so that I could prove it was not a hardware problem.
Also, no one should be flattening their boxes as I work this out with the Xbox team.
Alas this is my fate as well… is there a fix coming as others stated redownloading all my games is not or shouldnt be a solution to one games issues…
This is a known issue and has been investigated by 343 and escalated to the team at Xbox. Looks like Xbox have identified the issue and are working to fix, just a matter of waiting for that to happen.
