so I played a lot of halo wars two love the game, there is only one main issue I have and it isn’t the first time I have had this happen.
when I went in on 9/26/17 the awakening dlc would not finish its downloading, it stops at 9gb -12 gb of the download.
I tried many things to fix this finally I tried to reinstall the whole game, now the game wont download correctly either stops at 9 - 14 gb just like the dlc and never picks up where it stops it just resets the whole download…
I’m trying everything I can and need some help if anyone has found a better answer then what I have found out there.
- there is no error code presented on its stop and reset issue (internet, storage or the basic error codes) that I have seen out there so far
- I’m three days into trying and trying over and over not doing anything else on my pc but waiting each time to (hopefully) get one of my favorite games to work again…
if it doesn’t fix does anyone know how I can get a refund for just the main game part I don’t even care if I don’t get refunded for the dlc’s I paid separately for.
anyone on here who has a clue what to do would be amazing
Leave it on downloading, I know it doesn’t look like its doing anything when it stops but it is, it is running background cache checks of Halo Wars 2 on your pc.
Don’t cancel or pause it when it stops, with this update mine took around 24 hours to finish downloading the full 26gb’s or so.
no its not download the game after uninstalling it. (which was a last resort) is there a cache on pc I need to clear or just leave it for a day or two running?

Just set it to download, then leave it, it’ll work itself out 
Thank Pvgzz for the answer ill give it a try for a day or two and if it doesn’t work ill see if there’s any news on fixing the issue. ill let you know how it goes by then.

Hmmm, it seems your Microsoft store is a bit broken

Windows 10
so my issue was in a cache file with ms store app, I would have to reinstall windows 10 for it to fully fix (I reinstalled store app didn’t help) after several tries at other things I’m getting my internet increased so the download will go faster hopefully that fixes it, ive got at least 2tb of games and reinstalling windows will make me reinstall all of em… so if that doesn’t work id have to reinstall windows. sadly its in the cache of the store app. also tried making new cache but gave me a corrupted cache still. sadly a hard copy sounds amazing right now.
if no fixes can help me re download this game off store app then I’m just gonna go for a refund. also if the dlc doesn’t want to install “DO NOT!” uninstall game it may suffer same issue…
