halo wars 2 leader suggestions

I assume making leaders with unique perks an units are a lot harder and take more time to make than adding a few weapons to halo 5 so I don’t really expect any of these to be added. at this point I’m just kinda wishfully thinking so if anyone else has any ideas feel free to speak out.

UNSC

Noble 1 (it’d be nice to see them back in action)
-unique units/unit upgrades
rocket hog: anti air unit. we do already have the wolverine but warthogs are faster.
falcon: the falcon isn’t actually a unit of its own. the falcon is just an upgrade to a nightingale that will add turrets to it, still with its healing ability.
mongoose: small and cheep recon unit, can upgrade it so the gunner has a spartan laser

-powers
target locator: like the scatter bombs but with a smaller radius but faster missiles that deal more damage
bubble shield: self explanatory
noble drop: drop a random member of noble team, each having different perks and weapons
-emile: has limited range since he uses a shot gun but intimidates enemies which lowers their performance and armor
-kat: uses a pistol. special ability is armor lock which temporarily makes her invincible and immobile as well as temporarily shut down any vehicles within a certain radius
-jorge: has his chain gun which does extra damage to vehicles and he has that guard perk that allows him to take some damage instead of nearby troops
-jun: basically a sniper with shields and extra health
-carter: has a dmr so will have about the same range as the elite rangers. inspires nearby troops.

Osman (atriox is a pretty important situation. so important the throne of ONI herself has come to take care of it personally)
-unique units/unit upgrades
-ONI warthog: can upgrade warthog to have tougher armor and exploding bullets. basically the same as halo 5
-ONI scorpion: same as halo 5. tougher armor and higher damage
-assassin: increase the already long range on the sniper and increase the length of the active camo time

-powers
-emp: self explanatory
-double agent: temporarily have visuals of all enemy units
-spook: for a brief moment you can place a small radius, any enemy troops in that radius will be “spooked” and cease fire and back away from your troops

Agent Washington (if there’s anything I like about halo 5, it’s the random fun stuff like timmy helmets and pizza rifles. so lets add some fun rvb units)
-unique units/unit upgrades
-wyoming: snipers can be upgraded to be wyoming which just gives them a little extra health, faster rate of fire, and a wyoming skin
-carolina: she works as a hero unit. she will basically be a spartan with boosted health, shields, speed, and damage. she will use dual plasma rifles. special ability is a speed boost which will allow her to run at the speed of a warthog
-warthog: warthog will be driven by grif, gunner is simmons, and sarge in the side. it can be upgraded to play mexican polka which inspires nearby troops.
-freckles: cyclops units can be upgraded to a mantis with extra armor and has freckles voice
-shiela: can upgrade scorpions to have a more precise aim which just means they do more damage to a specified unit, and has shielas voice

-powers
-church: like Isabel’s ghost in the machine ability but it also takes control of infantry units like marines or grunts.
-transmitter: can drop a box calls a mac blast from the mother of invention when activated. it can be used as a trap.
-vertical drop: remember in season 10 when the pelican disabled its engines and enabled them right before crashing to avoid fire when entering the combat zone? well they’ve decided to try it again. drop a pelican right into the field that will drop a few marine units, a sniper, and maybe a cyclops. the sudden drop will also shock nearby units that will temporarily, and dramatically lower their defense

Banished

Krith (jackal leader. there were no jackals in hw2 so lets go ahead and add some.)
-unique units/unit upgrades
-jackals: replace the elite rangers with carbine jackals that can be upgraded to have shields
-sniper jackal: the banished doesn’t have any sniper units like the unsc does. sure there’s the rangers but they don’t nearly have the same range. this unit is equipped with a beam rifle
-pirate: a jackal unit equipped with a plasma rifle. they are cheap, weak, and fast that have the ability to hijack vehicles.
-spirit drop ship: similar to arbiters phantom unit

-powers
-scavenge: a passive power. once bought with a leader point you will start gaining a little bit of supplies every time one of your units eliminates an enemy unit.
-advanced sights: temporarily double the line of sight for every one of your units, can come in handy for blister backs or friendly kodiaks
-trip wire: cheap power that alerts you when an enemy unit passes by in, used for setting up traps or needing to know when you might be attacked

Yabda (the merciless)
-unique units/unit upgrades
-grunt goblin: deployed as a hero unit, can be upgraded to the scarab variant
-heavy grunts: grunts deployed with fuel rod guns. can be upgraded to plasma launchers.
-grunt ultras: like regular grunts but with extra armor and half of the unit is equipped with plasma rifles. some are left with plasma pistols for the special ability, which is charging the weapon and emping a targeted vehicle

-powers
-grunty might: a drop ship flies in and drops off 3 ultra grunt squads and 5 veteran grunt squads
-run away!: passive power. units gain speed when leaving a battle field.
-balaho gas: drop a small gas bomb that fills an area with air that only grunts can breath. it boosts the attack of friendly grunt units and damages enemy units unless it’s a grunt unit or an enclosed vehicle. (for ex. a wolverine can make it through but a warthog can’t because the warthog is exposed.)

ran out of room before

this might be a long shot but

Forerunner

some basic units that need to be laid out real quick
soldiers: small group of soldiers equipped with suppressors. can be upgraded to light rifles
knight: has a strong melee that automatically is used when an enemy is close. is equipped with a scattershot but can be upgraded to an incineration canon
crawlers: group of fast and cheap units
watchers: healer unit
phaeton: air unit. can be upgraded to helios phaeton
heavy soldiers: 2 soldiers with splinter turrets
and all of the sentinels currently in the game

basic powers
teleport: teleport a group of units
turret spawn: spawn in one of those annoying Promethean turrets
splinter mines: same as the mines the other 2 factions have
hardlight wall: put up a temporary and invincible wall of hardlight

Cortana (shes come to bring peace, through violent warfare)
-unique units/unit upgrades
-warden eternal: hero unit. special ability is that ball thing (select a target but any enemy units it passes will be pulled towards it.)
-sniper: spawn a soldier with a binary rifle

-powers
-guardians song: temporarily emp every mechanical enemy on the field. this will of course be expensive or at least have a long cool down time.
-in the grid: same thing as the ONI double agent power that was previously mentioned
-relocate: teleport a group of enemy units to a new location. you can send them to an area where the fog of war covers your sight.

The Didact (he’s back…again)
-unique units/unit upgrades
-knight: the didacts knights are weaker than the regular ones but they spawn a watcher when deployed
-enforcer sentinel: he’s pretty old so we’ll give him some older units. as far as what the unit is, it’s basically just the big guy we all know and hate from halo 2. its special ability is to pick up and deal massive damage to a targeted ground vehicle

-powers
-composer: select a radius to compose. this only works on not mechanical units meaning marines, grunts, snipers, etc. for every unit that is composed a knight will spawn in their place but without the watcher
-portal: select 2 locations to place 2 portals for friendly units to move through. the portals are permanent unless a new location is selected or if one is destroyed by the enemy

Tragic Solitude (monitor of installation 00)
-unique units/unit upgrades
-blind wolves: small group of blind wolves. fast and strong melee units
-bobby: that guy that was turned into a cyborg by solitude. deployed as a hero unit.
-retriever sentinal: achieved the same way it is with anders
-ark defense: I probably remembered the name wrong but it’s the same power with the circle of sentinels shooting everyone up that anders has

Pretty sure all of the future leaders are already decided:

  • Serena- July - Yayap- August - Brute Lt.- ATN - Brute Lt.- ATNEdit: And they confirmed no new factions… Just UNSC and Banished/Covenant.

No problem with that man. I’m big on criticism and suggestions for games, especially when it can be used in future iterations (I used to be a big poster on Bethesda, but meh at this point). Just wanted to reduce any expectation of it being in this game and let you know what they said is going to be happening.

Hopefully we get to see some different factions in the next Halo Wars (if they make one with this game’s poor sales) and some unit diversity+upgrades. I felt that was really weak in this title.

Maybe have Auntie Dot instead of Noble 1 as the leader?
