I’ve seen a lot of people complaining about the beta so far. There have been a lot of comparisons to the first game, most of which complaining that the game is vastly different. To me, being different is absolutely a good thing. I enjoyed halo wars 1 a lot, don’t get me wrong…however, there are a lot of things I’m glad didn’t carry over.
For instance, I’m glad that the rush style that devastated enemy bases by covenant leaders is no longer a thing. Especially with the prophet.
Just so amused with all of the complaints from supposed veterans (or whatever you want to call yourselves lol). Considering that the halo wars population died a long time ago. It’s really interesting to see so many pop out of nowhere. Perhaps back compat. revived some, but even so.
Overall though, get used to it. Of course the game will be tweaked, but there are so many people complaining to no end. I’ve even seen people go so far as to complain about limiting you to 5 posts per day in the feedback forum.
343 wants more than just your feedback alone, especially considering the fact that the people who give these complaints practically post essays.
Learn the game, learn it will be tweaked. Please move on. Also keep the definitive edition in mind if you’re still having difficulties.
I agree, I love it and deathmatch really is a lot of fun. You can actually have 1 hour+ long battles again.
My only problems are the fact that there are no neutral factions on the map for deathmatch like in Halo Wars 1 (Like the Innies, Forerunners, and the Flood), it’s too easy to grab bases with the absence of neutral faction bases on the map. Another issue is the population cap, it’s way too low.
I’m going to go ahead and ASSUME that these things are just for the beta and that they’ll be added into the full game or a later beta build. It just doesn’t make sense logically for us to not be able to have as big of armies as the original Halo Wars that came out 7 years ago. They said the “biggest halo battlefield yet”, I’m sure it’s just for the beta. This also goes for the neutral bases, I have hope for them though since sentinels are already in the game.

Agreed. Lots of nonsense going around in this forum.
I agree its an improvement also. I like all the new units. I had read there was a tech level 5 so im hoping there will be more upgrades and more ways to increase the population of units. I’m also hoping they release another beta before the end of the year, there was many problems with this one. Domination didn’t play out to well, a lot of people couldn’t play for a while and strategies like the jackrabbit decapturing worked to an extend because of the jackrabbits being so glitched. Would love to test out the full armory not with just 1 Spartan. Haven’t played Deathmatch yet but planning on it soon.

that’s cool that you like this half baked product but please don’t pretend that community died a long time ago. the only reason this game even exist is because the community has been extremely strong for so many years post release. when i sold my 360 and got a xbox one halo wars was still easily hitting ten thousand players at night. this game was made as a fan service for the people who supported it for so long.
Rushing is totally viable. Annoying at times but allows strats to be unpredictable, promotes scouting, varies match experiences and who doesn’t get a rush from beating back a rush. Prophet?.. C’mon man
