Halo Wars 2 Installation Stopped at 7.34 GB

HELP!!!

I’ve owned Halo Wars 2 since Day One and so far all of my DLC and title updates have gone pretty smoothly. (I know I might be in the minority here, but hey I’ll take it!) However, this weekend’s title update is not installing on my Xbox One no matter what I’ve tried. The update process gets to 7.34 GB (22%) and then gives the Installation Stopped message.

I’ve tried every fix that has been posted on the Halo Waypoint forums and the Halo Wars subreddit. I’ve uninstalled the game, uninstalled all of the DLC, rebooted the Xbox One, shutdown the Xbox One, pulled the power plug out, rebooted my Internet router, rebooted my cable modem, and done all of these in various combinations over the past 24 hours. So far, no dice.

Does anyone know of any other fixes I could try? Is anyone else experiencing this issue for this weekend’s title update?

My kid and I thank you in advance for your help.

Hey!

I can’t offer you any fixes but I can relate to this issue, I launched the game fine yesterday without the update because it didn’t prompt me, then proceeded later in the day to decide to update. However it cannot seem to do much else other then sit in queue screen with ‘updating’. I haven’t played for a few days because of this issue, so any fixes would be appreciated! :frowning:

It’s corrupted.

Had the same issue last patch.

When you uninstall the game and restart the console, does it still show as being installed?

Only 2 ways to fix this unfortunately.

  1. In case you have another hdd try installing it on this instead.

  2. Factory reset your console. Complete wipe. Had to do the same. Was a big bummer for me.

I had a problem with one of the updates recently. The issue?
It was on my external hard drive instead of internal.

For some reason it was also splitting dlc between internal and not, but it had always worked up until yapyaps release, whatever it was doing. I tried moving everything to external, deleting and reinstalling on external and nothing worked until I put it directly on the xbox itself. May not be the issue for you, but it solved my problem and I haven’t had any issues since.
