Halo Wars 2 Installation Licence (PC)

I have Halo Wars 2 on the PC but, I cant get the licence code.
I have the game installed and it needs to update.
However, the game cannot update because it cant acquire the licence to do so. I continually get an error code 0x803F8001.
How do I get the licence to make sure that the game can update and that I can play it?

I also have this problem… I bought the game online, came as 4 discs and a product code. I registered the product code and installed the game but it doesn’t show up in my microsoft account ( i only have the one account ). Anytime I try to launch the game i get this error code

I’m in a bit of a different situation. I got the physical version, successfully installed it and registered it, but now I bought a new PC, and after reinstalling Halo Wars 2, I get that error when trying to launch it.

What the hell do I do to bypass this?

whouw what physical xbox version ? on pc ? is so how ?

there was a special edition for PC that was Xbox Play Anywhere enabled. So that works in PC and Xbox. After a while my problem got fixed
