Debatable really. With a physical copy you get the physical collectibles that come with it, plus you can have the cd in your library. I’ve always preferred physical too just in case something “were” to happen to the digital id still have the game. Digital is really only better because it takes up less space(as in house space) and you can download it days before a game launches and play immediately when it’s ready.

I have bad experience with the physical version. (xbox 360 disc drive stopped working) now I use digital cause I don’t want to risk it.

True, it really is just a preference thing. Both have pros cons in their own ways. Most of my games are digital now but I used to do just cds as when digital games started picking up I just didn’t trust it. I eventually got over that (pretty much when XB1 launched)but certain games/franchises I still do cds just cuz I like to collect them.

True, it really does depend.

While I did pre-order halo wars 2 from Xbox store for the five gold packs physical copies are superior to digital download for the simple ability to trade or sell the game later if you choose. Digital copies are worthless after you are done with them.

Also I’d like my children to play this and my grand children it’s a sentimental thing sorta.

Well, Halo Wars 2’s physical merch is stickers and pins. If you are in Australia or pre-ordered from THQ you’d get a steelbook for PC (with Xbox Play Anywhere) but the THQ edition came out way too late, everyone had already pre-ordered that was going to.
