Does anyone know if the flood will be back in wars 2?
As far as I’m aware next to nothing has been revealed about the game
Not that we’ve seen, but my body is ready for a possible flood campaign if there is.
Most likely due to the fact Halo Wars takes place almost 20 years prior to Reach. Reach fell in 2552, and Halo Wars took place in the early 2530s. So unless they plan halo wars 2 storymode way before 2530. Or way after 2553. The flood should make an appearance. Unless the game plot is based over a planet system that has yet to encountered the flood or that have successfully rid them from the region. Gravemind could just crash a ship onto planets realistically.

if you watch the Halo Wars 2 trailer carefully again one of the members of Red team steps on and crushes a flood spore sack, its very subtle and easy to miss but its there, watch it in the highest quality and focus on the floor. This coupled with the reveal of the flood being on the Spirit of Fire in Halo Escelation basically confirms that the flood will play a [likely major] part in Halo Wars 2.

I didn’t think you were serious, but yeah, right at the 15 second mark that spartan definitely steps on something that bursts into a puff of smokiness.
I think the flood will come back but not as a huge threat like the forerunners.
I hope so. Would be fun to work for a Gravemind.

Got out of bed and ran to my computer to see if you weren’t kidding. Cant believe I missed that. But I’m not sure it was a popcorn. I doubt they were able to keep the flood of the ship and sterilize it completel I read escalation and im sure the flood are coming back.

On the Spirit of Fire there was still a Flood form so maybe…
The new banished campaign coming out in september/october will have flood in it as the main antagonists. I just hope they add a gravemind as a playable leader, possibly a reincarnation of truth (you know how he was infected in halo 3…).
